Hey All Happy New Year! Former athlete also... Swimmer also, and to top it off I've just had shoulder surgery (swimming related) and now have a long slow recovery ahead, which will hopefully include swimming again one day. Anyhow my profile says it all. I'm sending you all a friend request and cleaning out my existing MFP…

I personally will not bother providing any suggestions at this point given distinctly beautiful's manic-depressive responses. Initially I was willing to given I have a B.Kin and parents in their 70s I have helped with different but similar needs. But upon reading further, decided, why would I or anyone put effort forth for…

Ok I'm in for 30 miles (50km) - all trails. Doesn't sound like a lot but with a stress fracture in my foot and surgery to fix it in my history, best not to push it until I've dropped another 10-15 lbs. Love seeing the ambition of others. Hope there's a half marathon again in my future!! :-)

I'd say do it! Low impact, full body workout. The better your technique becomes, the farther and faster you will be able to swim. I train twice a week with a Masters' swim team. I'd recommend looking one up for some ideas on how to have better technique, as well as to make it more exciting than "swimming laps".

Definitely moderate I'd say. That's if you are doing stalls and feedings plus riding. I am getting into riding. 2-3 times a week on my 4 year old TBxPercheron. I view it as core work.

40 years old. Pushing the heaviest I've ever been. 238lbs. Goal is 220 by July 1 when I fly to Europe. I need to be consistent and disciplined. Oh, and get my cardio hrs in! Stay focused all!!
