Hmm this makes me wonder if my Fitbit isn't way overestimating my calorie burn. I routinely burn 2000 cals with 10 000 steps, 20k steps like poster above has me at 2500 cals burned. I'm short (5'2") but I am heavier at 142 lbs.

I'm 5'2" currently 142 aiming for 120-125 chest 34.5 waist 29 Hips I haven't kept track but I should!

I'm a couch potato and left to my own devices will lounge on the couch alllll day. I find my Fitbit very helpful in raising my NEAT levels.

This! When I took my before measurements I was wondering why the heck I should measure my neck since there probably won't be much change there. Really happy I did anyways because I lost 1.5 inches around my neck!

I really enjoy Beachbody on Demand!

Lots of great ideas everyone, thank you! I think with all this I will have new challenges and goals to reach for pretty much forever. It seems like for weight lifting you can just play around with programs/reps/sets/etc. I totally get that maintenance is not easy and is it's own challenge/goal but when I stop seeing the…

It's 5 sets of 5 reps. I'm definitely not signing up to a gym after putting in all that money to build a home gym LOL! Running with a weighted vest is a good idea though.
-
New sports are definitely possible, do you stop lifting in that case? Or tailor your lifting program to better suit your new sport?
-
For the can't lift heavier comment, I'm definitely not worried about getting "too big" I'm more worried about safety. I workout in a home gym and there's gonna be a limit to how heavy I can safely lift, what then? I'm not being defeatist, this isn't a why bother post, I'm just looking for suggestions on new goals I can…

So close to leaving the 140's and into the 130's!!! About 3-4 pounds to go!
-
Yes crop tops! They are back in style and so cute, especially with high-waist pants!

For the love of future me. I squat so that when I'm really old I don't need any help getting off the toilet!

That's a good idea LOL!

I definitely need a goal and a pre made plan for me to stick to fitness. The app Zombies, Run! has training plans for 5k expert (would increase your speed) 10k beginner, 10k intermediate, half marathon beginner, and Marathon Beginner.

I'm subscribed and I really love it! You can make up your own workouts by combining a few others, and there is no guilt if you start a new program and find that it isn't right for you and decide to switch!

Ugh image won't post, nvm.

I have only had 1 or 2 people comment at work who weren't close friends or family and aware that I was making some changes for my health. I'd honestly rather strangers/acquaintances not comment on my body, makes me feel awkward if someone is paying that much attention! Am I the only one who finds it really weird when…

I'm so sorry, gentle hugs if you want them. I know I don't have complete control over my emotional eating but what helps is telling myself that giving in will not make me feel better, in fact it'll probably pile on more crappy emotions.

Yes you can! If I did you can too! I'm female, 33 years old, 5'2" and so far have lost 46 with a goal of losing 66, If you take a look over at my avatar that is me losing 45lbs :)
-
I did and I tried not to look at them at first because it made me so sad! The one in my avatar was after I had already lost 6 lbs but I have some at my starting weight too. They are very good to measure progress when the scale is getting me down!
-
I used to like going to the grocery store and grab a bunch of 1lb packages of butter to see how much fat I've lost. I'd look a little crazy now holding 46 packages of butter but it would be fun to do!
-
These in soups! A plain food I'm funnily enough obsessed with right now is cabbage! Also mini (80 cal) ice cream sandwiches
-
I can't wait for this! I only have a half bin of too small clothes left from 2 overflowing so I am getting so close!
-
Calories and protein, as long as I get enough protein I let the other macros fall however they may.

I'm really loving the retro styles this year, high waist shorts as bottoms and tops with more coverage are much more easy to find! But you wear what you are comfortable with, not everyone is comfortable with a bikini no matter their size and of course that's ok!
-
YES! I still have 20lbs to lose but I am shopping for a bikini to wear this summer anyways!
-
Yes I know this, I knew beforehand that my sizes are different but I fell in love with that bathing suit and ignored what I knew!

It actually sounds like your form might be wrong, your back should not be hurting from these exercises. I would start by lowering the weights by a lot and focus on perfecting your form. If it's possible maybe you can book a session or two with a personal trainer that can help you with your form.
