Yay for pockets scales, and food NSV are the biggest for me so I totally get this post!!

Some people are able to maintain without counting, I am not one of those people! I think of it as a healthy habit, something I have to do every day to take care of my body. Take brushing your teeth for example, it is something you should do every day for your health and it takes 2 minutes twice a day so 4 minutes total. I…

As the above poster said I would repeat the c25k training. I've done this a few times, I usually skip the first week but I re-do the entire training.

Well the bottom fit great but the top is too big!!! It looks very unflattering because of that. I had a feeling this might happen, I've always needed 1 size smaller for my top than my bottom, damn pear shape! So now I'm out the money and still need a bathing suit! No more online shopping for stuff that needs to fit well,…

Made a pan of brownies last night to take to the tattoo shop today and I only ate the one piece I had pre-logged, I did not eat the entire pan!!!

Yes same with me for the skinny goth clothes!!

Alright, alright I'll slink away now. I'm cranky because my foot hurts and I can't go for my run but that's no excuse!

I know, I know, sorry! But really, you gotta admit it's basically fruit leather! Probably delicious but not a cookie, just cookie shaped?
-
My Dad has a smoker, I should learn how to use it (he doesn't really know how to use it either LOL!) I've never much liked smoked stuff besides bacon before but I wonder if I would like homemade better.
-
That's not a cookie.

I'm not much of a sauce eater either and I have found that just reducing the amount of my regular sauces usually works quite well to fit into my calories. My favourite is yogurt based tzatziki.

I'm not in maintenance yet but when I am I plan on planning for those days, they probably won't happen as often as once a month though. My plan will be to set myself to a slight deficit for a week before and after a blowout day like my birthday or Christmas.

The rare times I go to McDonalds I get a Happy Meal because you can get a mini fry which are only about 120 cals in those, more often than not they still give me a small fry. I give half my fries to hubby and just move on, no point terrorizing the poor employees.

CHEESE! - This one is a must! I love cheese so much, I have some pretty much every day. Carrots - Love me some carrots! Frozen mixed greens - Easy to add to soups Eggs - not a super huge fan of them but they are a quick and easy source of protein Lindt Extreme mint dark chocolate - always have a bar or 2 in the pantry…

My face! The weight loss barely shows in my face still :/ Also my calves are huge but I have to make peace with that because my genetics gave me huge calf muscles which most men would dream of having!

How do people even find 3 year old threads?? I guess the search function?

I love my Fitbit! I've previously lost weight without one so it's totally doable but I love data so my Fitbit is great! I've been logging all my data into a spreadsheet for the last 9 weeks to see if the data is accurate and it's just a bit off, seems to overestimate by about 100-200 calories according to my deficit and…

I always get both views. When I was at my biggest weight I felt like I was smaller most of the time, until I had to go up a flight of stairs, bend over to tie my shoe, or like you when I saw pictures of myself. Now that I've lost weight I very much see the 20 pounds I still have to lose but I also see the 45 I've lost, I…

For me calorie deficit=I'm on a diet so yes it is something I will go off of eventually when I start eating a maintenance amount.
-
1.2 lbs away from my next milestone (145)! Also I am back to my pre-falling off the wagon weight so any weight loss now is progress rather than catch-up!!!!

I'm just on the other side of the river in Hull/Gatineau!

I have a similar, much cheaper/more basic, pulley system in my garage gym but I find I get way more use out of my squat rack, bench, and Olympic barbell weight set. It totally depends on what kind of goals you have though.
-
Nothing wrong with either! I just don't like it when women get shamed for preferences for their own bodies. But seeing Magnus's response their post may have been worded in a way which I misunderstood.
-
Same here I burn so bad plus I have some very expensive tattoos I want to protect. I really need to get myself a parasol! I have a giant floppy hat that I love to wear which helps a lot but a parasol would be lovely.

Not sure why you felt that this comment brought anything of value to the thread. I shellac on the sunscreen in summer and while I'm not as pale as her I don't tan much in summer.
-
YES I love wild game! My Dad is a hunter so I get deer and moose meat when he manages to get one. I really love moose, deer isn't my favourite but hey free lean meat!. I also really like partridge and my favourite game meat is caribou which I only got one year when my Dad took a trip up north to hunt.

I'd love to join you all in this challenge! I have a fairly aggressive goal of losing 8lbs for May (which I doubt I will achieve but it is something to aim for) but then the rest of the summer I will lower my deficit and take it easy and slow. Overall my goal is to lose about 4lbs a month from 147.2 to 139 over 4 months.…
