Wow ladies, looking incredible! I stopped (home) lifting in spring as I picked up wakeboarding again, but with autumn creeping in I am going back to weights... must remember to post an update. For me it's all about becoming stronger, no need to lose weight :)

Wow - lots of inspiration on this board! Will add to follow :) I started lifting in December because I've always been small and wanted to be strong! I think it has made a big difference on my arms/legs (will have to find some appropriate before pics at some point to be able to compare). I'm just finishing NROLFW stage 1,…

I'm currently at the end of stage 1 of NROLFW. I simply do it at home, with dumbells and barbell - seems to be going well so far and I make it work for me! Having never done anything with weights before, I've kept it up so far!

I'm currently in stage one of NROLFW, doing it all at home. I don't have a stability ball, so I'm swapping out a couple of exercises. I have dumbbells and a barbell and I feel like that will get me pretty far with this programme! Who else is going NR at home?

This is a great thread, so I'm giving it a little bump (because I'm lazy and this way I'll be able to find it) - I'm currently in the first four weeks of Strong Curves from Home and these subs are great!

East Midlands here - only a few more lbs to go for me, but looking for that final bit of motivation to lose the last bit of jelly and then start building up that muscle. Definitely going for the "balanced lifestyle" - ie. healthy, but still enjoying chocolate and pudding too  Feel free to add me!

I'm also trying to build, I'm 5'6 and 115 lbs, trying to get stronger. I've started lifting twice a week, whilst building up strength. It might not seem like much, but I did nothing of the sort before, so I feel that's progress. Besides that I wakeboard and go for walks, so I keep active.

This sounds great - lets motivate each other! Feel free to add me, I don't have many friends (yet)

Phew @RebeccaParmenter - I'm not alone! Currently going on a 1700 cal/day (although I've been over most of last week) for about a month at @psulemon 's suggestion - see what that will do for weight gain! @xmichaelyx I'm currently following the Strong Curves programme (mentioned here:…

Thanks for keeping this thread going guys.. Glad to see a lady joined us @Springfield1970 And good to hear about your positive experiences with "the results" of gaining guys!! I'm only about two weeks into my journey... I ate a lot over the last week, and did gain 300 grams (just over 1/2 lbs), I want to do it slow but…

I have a partner with T1 diabetes and one of my resolutions is to definitely have less refined sugar in my diet. I'm not going to completely rule it out though, in my opinion I can still enjoy a biscuit here and some chocolate there. It's about moderation, rather than cutting it out completely, for me. @HamsterManV2 -…

This is great - I did the first StrongCurves routine yesterday, with slightly bigger weights. Curious to see if I can follow that program and move up to NROL4W! Taking your advice on calories on board as well. I'm not so strict with myself (anymore), and will keep this amount going and see how my body gets on with this new…

Thank you both! That list will be useful if I need any additional nutritional help! @psulemon - thank you for your extensive reply! Super helpful. The 1500 (I think it was over that - maybe 1550, which still isn't that much, I suppose!) comes from building back up after losing some weight. I'm happy with where I am, and…

I'm from The Netherlands, but leaving in the UK - just north of London... @CariTJR where abouts do you live?

I'm 29 and also in the Midlands - Northants, nice to see more active people from the UK! What are your main goals for using MFP? Mine are to control my sugar addiction - absolutely no denying I'm an addict! Besides that, I want to get stronger by doing yoga and some exercises at home (sit ups, crunches etc). I love hiking,…

No one around for a chat? That's a shame! I'll browse the rest of the forum :)

Hi, I'm also in Northamptonshire - can't help you on gyms unfortunately. I'd be interested to see any recommendations, but as of yet, I find myself disliking the gym "it's a chore" etc. I prefer to find exercise in the form of big hikes / walks / wakeboarding / trampolining / climbing. What other forms of exercise do you…
