DaveAkeman, I 100% agree about running outside. It's great to have the treadmill at the gym for when it's too late / dangerous to get my run in outside... But the great outdoors are where we all hope to run our 5k eventually, so apart from the fun aspect, from a training point of view I think it is quite different too.…

Well done OP! I've been on here a while too but lost my streak after a family member passed away. Hadn't quite made it to 50 days though! I'm about ready to get back in the game now, would love to have an accountabillybuddy (agree it's a great word). Feel free to add me anyone! As a side note, this is probably a very noob…

I love cashew nuts and macadamia nuts (and of course peanut butter)! Nuts are a great way to get a little protein and lots of healthy fats into your diet, especially if you're vegetarian / vegan/ pescetarian. Just be sure to buy them in their raw form, unsalted. In the case of peanut butter look out for added…

It's much more accurate than going by daily weight. Hope this helps…

Check out this post for some ideas: http://www.blisstree.com/2012/06/24/food/high-protein-breakfast-ideas-without-eggs-110/ I'm pescetarian and got really bored with eggs recently. I'm eating things like quinoa porridge with nuts and chia seeds at the moment, but it's just not packing the same protein punch as eggs. Greek…

I'm new here and was wondering the same thing - glad I saw your post OP, this all seems like some solid advice. My main concern was that the muscle gains would affect my weekly weigh-ins and body fat loss would be harder to track. I'd reach my goal weight a lot more slowly I suppose, but it's probably better to monitor…

Hey guys, I'm a newbie! I had what might be considered an emotional meltdown about a year ago and (long story short) exercise turned out to be a fantastic remedy for stress and anxiety. I want to live a happier life, take care of my mental wellbeing, love my body and embrace life in all its beauty. Exercise and clean…
