  • Thanks Izzy. I really havent done much strength training- mostly walking. Im still damn proud of my 38 lbs and can absolutely see a HUGE difference. I was just surprised that my size hadnt changed more.
  • I saw Izzy say she is down 27 lbs and 3 sizes- WOW that is awesome! I am down about 37 lbs since March. However I went out last week and got a few new pants for work. I was an 18 (pushing 20) or 2X. When I was trying on pants I was sure I would be a 14. Uh-uh. I ended up with 16s. How can I be down almost 40 lbs and only 1…
  • Yeah Izzy!!!! I know you've been frustrated. Way to hang in there and make up lost ground!!!! Congratulations!!!! Perseverance pays off!!!!!

  • I was on vacation in Mexico and met a girl from Canada who had weight loss surgery and had lost a lot of weight quickly. We were sitting by the pool in bathing suits... She was complaining her boobs looked like beaver tails!!!! Hahahaha. (and she wasnt far off- LOL)
  • Name: Lydia Start Weight: 215 Goal (for challenge): 199 7/11: 215 7/18: 212 7/25: 212 8/2: 209.5 Had a great week coming back from a non-losing week! Lots of exercise and MUCH better food choices this week! Goal for next week: 2 lbs Good luck everyone!
  • I'm 5 months in and down 37lbs. start weight 245, currently 208. I exercise a few times a week, mostly walking. And trying to stay at or under (more days than not) calorie goal of 1300/day. I am in it for the long haul with 75-100 lbs to lose so I'm not being perfect--keeping it sustainable. Good luck to you!
  • Hang in there Cheryl! Just make sure you are logging everything that goes into your mouth and keep up with the exercising. It will happen. One week you'll drop a couple pounds all at once. Your body is adjusting to the changes and it may take time for the weight loss to happen. Maybe there are non-scale victories…
  • Weigh in- 212 lbs Goal this week was -1 lb Actual loss: 0 lbs. Not unexpected as we went away for hubbys birthday and didnt really stay on plan. Not gaining is actually a victory for me Goal next week: -2lbs
  • Izzy- you are so motivational to us all. Don't get down on yourself. As you know its a long slow process. Hang in there!!! A loss is a loss and next week will be better :)
  • I said no to the rolls my husband and son had their meatballs on. I made paleo meatballs for dinner and while they had theirs on a big roll with melted cheese, I had mine in a bowl. Since I made that choice, I can have a glass of wine tonight :)
  • thanks izzy-- Not mad at myself because I know I really did do ok with the choices I made- one of which was to enjoy myself. I was just shocked! And I think maybe my scale was a little off because I am almost back to where I was.- or maybe it was some water weight- who knows..... The journey continues :)
  • So frustrated! This past weekend was my husband's 50th birthday and we went away to a friend's cabin in the mountains for a few days. I gained 3 lbs! I overindulged some but also hiked 2-4 miles each day. I figured I might not lose weight, but to gain THAT much - UGH! My strategy so far has been low carb and to count…
  • Gabriele- those are amazing results! Congratulations!!! I am on 2 blood pressure meds currently, but need to schedule an apt for my dr because after losing 33 lbs, when I take my BP it is low. Exciting to think how much you can help yourself by losing weight!
  • Start weight 215 goal this week: -2 lbs loss: -3lbs!!!!! YEAH!!!!!
  • I dont have "cheat days" In the past when dieting, I did and that diet would last about 1 month and almost everyday became a cheat day. For me it is so negative to say cheating. It makes me get down on myself and before I know it, the diet is done. Now I CHOOSE what I eat. Most times I choose not to eat the wrong thing.…
  • way to go! so inspiring! Keep it up :)
  • Congratulations!!!!! What a transformation! Keep it up and thanks for the inspiration- 32 lbs down, 38 to go! (245-175)
  • Congratulations to everyone who is seeing progress! Its very inspirational to check in and see other people who are on the same path as I am and being successful. To those who gave in and didnt see any loss- remember this is a journey. Learn from it and move on.

  • For me, I do weigh everyday just to keep track of things in my head. I post when I lose at least a pound. A trick for myself (yes, I know it's a trick but it works for me) is I always keep my posted weight about a pound higher than the lowest I see on the scale. This way if I flucuate up a little, like a 1/2 lb, I dont…
  • Just WOW! I had about 80 lbs to lose and it seemed so overwhelming! Now 4 months in and 30 lbs down, I see that its possible- 1 lb at a time. To see you before and after and how you've stuck to it for 3 YEARS! Again- Just WOW! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!!
  • Hi! I have dieted so many times and was good for a couple weeks- then fell off the wagon and gained it all back plus some each time. This time I have been losing weight since March and am down just over 25 lbs. Every other time it was all about denial. This time I am making it about choices. I CHOOSE what I want…
  • When you feel like quitting, think about why you started. Dont let a bad day turn into a bad week.
