Current pattern of eating....not where I want it. Aside from that, I'm eating good keto foods, just too much of them and too many carbs and cals for me to see results - even if it remains low carb. Certain stress situations are becoming less front and center and I'm waiting for the tipping point when I can remain true to…

I've done the same thing with the late eating window. It worked for me. I should try it again. I remember it being a fairly easy routine to get in to, and my energy was fine all the time. Gotta love keto.

Hang in there, Christie! Just do one day at a time. It will happen. Winter is hard.

Just a reminder to myself: even adding a few extra carbs on to my food plan with what are basically solid keto foods...leads to an instant overnight water retention of 2 lbs. I need to remember this as I am so affected emotionally by these fluctuations. Even though I know it's not fat, it feels bad. Carb creep is real!…

Thanks Baconslave and Knit for a really well thought out and well presented challenge. I'm going to really sink my teeth into this one!!

Keeping up with my 6000 steps most days...for the win! Contemplating a 1000 step raise on the first. Not too drastic, and I feel pretty adapted to 6000 after a couple weeks. Don't want to rush things...but don't want to get stagnant either. Trying to be the turtle not the hare, for once.

This past week I mostly hit my steps target of 6000 steps per day. Feels good. The last six months I was like a very slow turtle. This coming week, I'm going to keep it just the same. Just trying to ease into more activity. Maybe for March, I'll take it up a couple thou.

Sometimes my eating habits and food choices are beyond chaotic. My slips can be landslides that go on for long periods of time. Recently in an attempt to reconnect with keto in a hurry, I fasted. After 48 hours I noticed a weird taste in my mouth and recalled others naming it as a metallic taste. I have to agree...about an…

This week was an improvement on steps. Not perfect, but absolutely taking it up a notch. Regular activity is the bane of my existence...so I'm more than satisfied with this week's progress.

Hey Fancy! I'm not always strict keto and I stray and experiment and adapt as I need...but there is no question in my mind that this is the key to health for me...Keto. Deep in my gut I know that is true. I think that is why I always come here first regardless of where I am on my journey. These are my peeps! You, too!! I…

Venting is good. I find the first two weeks are hardest getting back to low cravings.. strict cold turkey helps at that time. After that it's easier to just say no for each moment as it arises..not forever...just no for now. There will always be brownies. The key to it for me has always been my level of wanting to be…

Yesterday...12,000 steps! Totally rocking that! Feels so good. 6000 was the goal. Food plan...will fall in line soon... yes, it will. Have a great day pals!

Steps are good. Food plan is not so good. Can really tell it's stress eating/stuffing that is messing with me, not real hunger. Trying to mitigate this with various strategies.

I'm down with that, Christie!

I'm realizing that this particular keto thread has become my online home base. This is where I update, this is where I regroup, this is where I reward myself, this is where I reveal my journey. I use alot of the features in this app on a daily basis, but this thread really is home base for me. Keto really was the key for…

Hey pals. Gonna get it together any day now. Starting with checking in. For activity, I'm trying to get into a steps routine. Current goal is 6,000 steps daily, heading in the direction of 15,000 thou over time. This week I averaged about 3,500 per day. I'm good with that, dealing with new aches and pains. ..so I'm okay…

My goal was to do 6000 steps a day. For now, I'm finding I wind up doing about 4000 steps. Still, that's an increase, and I do find I'm purposefully getting up to add steps on. And really, if I just keep at it, I'm sure the numbers will increase on their own and I'll work my way up to 6000 and beyond. I'm counting that as…

I always get a very very runny nose as soon as I drink wine. My mom does, too. When I was younger that never happened. Started at about age 50. No real idea what or why...feels like an allergy type thing. I just don't drink wine anymore. Hard liquor and beer don't have the same reaction for me. So, that's what I go with.

Claiming my seat. Still going for it. Gonna get there. Yes, I can! Nothing can stop me. Go, Lizzie, Go! Thus concludes the affirmation portion of my day... or shall I say, "fake it til you make it!"

I'm here checking in every day, joined a challenge. Keep on truckin' on, pals. Hoping Punxtawny Phil calls an early Spring tomorrow! Let it be early!!!

Two goals: Daily Steps. 20 carbs. Today: yes, I did.

Trying to keep the faith alive after a slow start to the New Years resolutions with acknowledgement of MFP connections as a long term NSV. Daily Logging, posting, weigh ins, measurements, and being part of this community whether I'm on a weightloss roll or falling on my face.. are all a big part of the successes that I've…

Am adjusting to son's return home. This is a good thing! Yay!... but, one day I hope to be able to handle changes and stresses with more consistant self care. My current focus is on not giving in to what feels like co-dependant behaviors... on my part... as a worrywart mom. Selfcare, mindfulness, and incredible amounts of…

Just an observation from my keto life. When I lose weight I'm following a straight up total count of carbs without subtracting fiber. It keeps me honest and my body likes it at 20g. When I'm regaining weight unintentionally, I find myself following the fiber subtraction method. Any leeway in my food plan is kind of a…

Yes, definately! Keto hot flashes are very real for me. I agree with Knit, it feels very hormonal. I had wicked hot flashes during menopause that eventually tapered off, and then keto restarted it and it hasn't stopped. I lost 110 pounds though, so I deal with it. Fans, AC, covers on and off all night long, dressing in…

I just put a note next to the handle on the fridge door: "It's not about the food." Wish I could get that into my head for good.

Fvsisey, I get the same body issues off low carb or keto...you'd think it would be easier to stay on track...but I always feel my eating issues have less to do with health realities than emotional things. And at this point I guess I'm just glad I recognize that, since it sometimes helps to bring me back to the keto fold…

Currently working on resolutions, but basics are where it's at for me when I get serious. I'm all in for this one. Cannot wait to start up a new year. I can already feel the gears kicking up and starting to turn. I'm planning on hitting the ground running this time around, and by that I mean leaving certain realities of…

Just took my son home. 5 hours on the road. He made the season happy for me this year. But now that he's gone for awhile.. I'm hoping to kick it into high gear with the body overhaul. So far today is looking to be very close to plan, and hopefully, I'll be able to pull it off even with the travel challenges. I've got some…
