Yea, but if you want to have your cake and eat it too...:)

Low-fat cheese snacks, any non-starchy vegetable (cucumbers, peppers, edamame, broccoli, etc with or without fat-free or low-fat dip), fruit in moderation (given the diabetes), nuts (100 calorie packs are great to keep on hand), sugar free low-carb protein shakes (i.e. EAS AdvantEdge), yogurt, sugar free puddings/gelatin.

I agree with PhysicsOnIce, there is a lot of sugar in Slim Fast. If you follow the calorie count that MFP gives you for the weight you want to use and follow the suggested make up of food (I actually go much higher on Protein then it calls for but stay within the calorie counts) you will do well. I am a huge fan of…

Can you share a copy of a recipe you have tried?

7 laps! Well done Ricky:)

Good to hear your B/P is coming down, that is definitely a NSV!! Keep moving forward Ricky, you are doing great:)
-
Ricky, you can do this!! Substitute sparkling water or diet tonic water so you get the carbonation hit without the caffeine. It might help. Hang in there ;)

Ricky, it will get better as you continue to lose weight! I have osteoarthritis of my hips, knees and neck which was so painful that getting up from a seated position after 30 minutes caused me to limp and have pain until I got moving again. I too would wake up in the middle of the night from it radiating down my legs.…

Ricky that is so incredible, keep up the great work, you are making a wonderful difference in your health and welfare:) Congratulations!!!!!!

I always make my chocolate protein shakes (Wonderslim Aspartame free) with cold coffee, cinnamon and nutmeg, throw in a few ice cubes and shake it all up (If you use a blender and more ice it will be thicker). You can also add unsweetened vanilla almond milk for a nice creamy taste:)

Awesome job!!!

I went in and made a copy of all my blogs before those are gone. Next I need to print off my recipes if I want those too!

I make my chocolate protein shakes with cold coffee, ice, cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg:)

There is a new program called Uniquely Yours! which is not a whole lot more then the core program for NS. This allows you as much frozen food as you want (and can store). I switched to that after 14 weeks of Shelf Stable (SS) food so I could get some variety and I love it. Necessitated buying a bigger freezer which I…

So sorry to hear of you being laid off, that is like a double whammy. I hope that you are able to work through the dietary problems and that the work issue is resolved soon:)

Divided by the number of servings it creates...

After 5 kids and age I always say I am good at multi-tasking, I can laugh, sneeze, cough, fart and pee all at the same time:) If the stress incontinence is pretty mild you can do kegel exercises (contract and release the muscles you use to stop a stream of urine) as often as you can remember to do it. Otherwise, if I am…

Awesome job with the 6 laps!! You are so close to that mile, keep moving;)

If you are looking for lower impact but still get a good workout, Leslie Sansone videos are great. I didn't think I could get a decent workout from a "walking" video but I do the 3-5 mile ones and I get a great workout...sweat included:) I have osteoarthritis in my neck, hips and knees so I have to be careful how much…

I like it to dip celery into, and I added the Chocolate one to my apple yesterday, it was pretty good. I like the reg PB2 better then the chocolate so far:) I have found it either in the PB section or the natural food aisle depending on the grocery store and I live in a pretty rural area.

Me too!

Question for those of you that get frozen food...what are your favorite frozen meals? I have such a smorgasboard to choose from now that I switched to Uniquely Yours! Last night I had Chicken Parmigiana and the Creamsicle thing, today I had the hamburger...all 3 were FANTASTIC!! I haven't had a burger since Dec/Jan so it…

Well, answered my own question...both boxes came together today:)

Dang, I have an order coming tomorrow so it will have to wait until the next order! I too have been spacing out my AD to 6 weeks since I end up with extra items:)
-
Awesome job, and you are well on your way to a friend for Caroline!! I have my 20# bear coming this week and am so excited...now I have to ask my grandkids what to call him (the other one was named Julie so I think I will make this one a boy:)
-
Val that is horrible!! I don't know why some folks have to be so ignorant and rude. I agree with RogerToo, you should have spoken to management and gotten a refund. It sure it is a good feeling to be able to ride in them now without embarrassment. I am sure it was hard on your daughter too:(
-
Buttons, ick that sounds awful! Feel better soon!!!!

There are some clerks that will go ahead and ring up alcohol and cigarettes as something else to put it on food stamps, but it is illegal. I reported it at a store by us because the store can be fined as well as lose the ability to accept food stamps. So it is a matter of people ringing things up inappropriately to "help"…

I encourage you to carry protein bars and ready to go protein shakes. They take minutes to eat/drink and supply you with a good amount of protein and nutrition. Keep bringing ready to eat fruits/veggies/string cheese/greek yogurt that can be eaten quickly or even with one hand. Starving yourself throughout the shift can…

I had the passion fruit one for the first time today...mmmmmm! I have yet to have one that I don't like:)
