Sounds like it is not something you would likely use. I am a big fan of it, but am also not vegetarian. I have a big family, work a fulltime job that is 45 min from home and like the convenience of coming home to a ready cooked meal. As Derf_Smeggle said there are lots of vegetarian recipes that can be done in crock pots.…

I bought 7 samples of Trutein and was sadly disappointed. It was very thin, tastes were way too sweet (especially the mint chocolate, lemon meringue, chocolate PB) and/or just plain "off". After all the reviews I was so excited to try them:( I am a big fan of EAS Advantage Complete, 150 cal, 25g protein. Mixes up extremely…

Pizza Production deep dish spinach and garlic (with extra garlic) was my go to when in Chicago!! One slice was more then enough...probably more then enough calories to feed a family of five...but more then enough to fill me up. Nowadays I doubt I could even stomach it...but oh the memories!

I was wondering about what type of oatmeal you are eating? Is it steel cut, old fashioned rolled, instant? Each one is a little different. I find that steel cut oats are best cooked ahead of time (I then put them in muffin tins, freeze them and then pop them out into a large ziploc. I use 2 for overnight oats), because…

I just signed up for Love With Food since they donate a meal per box! I love that idea of my getting to taste things and somebody getting a meal:) Thanks for the suggestion!

I love the chocolate fudge, mint chocolate chip and sea salt caramel ones (none of them are chocolate covered though, haven't seen those). The sea salt caramel was a little too sweet for me, but when I wanted sweetness it was perfect:)

I have been using Blue Diamond unsweetened almond vanilla milk, but discovered Silk almond/coconut milk recently. I did buy the regular which is sweetened with cane sugar, but is still only 50 calories a cup! It was soooooo good in my overnight oatmeal and my protein drinks! I used it up before I got to try making a…

Salsa! Makes a great flavorful low calorie no fat dressing. Especially with black beans, feta cheese, tomatoes, banana peppers, chick peas and bell peppers on the salad:)

I like to top my salad with salsa, no fat, low calorie and loads of taste!!

I never thought of that, I will have to try it!!

I totally understand what you are wanting to accomplish, I can say that when I lost weight it was religiously tracking every mouthful to the point of obsession! Since moving to maintenance I have pretty much stopped. Like many others have said, I learned a way of life...which for me included not tracking everything. Some…

I like EAS Advantage with 25 grams of protein. They make one that has 15 grams but it doesn't get as thick:)

Thanks everyone:)

If you want the dessert feel without the ice cream Dole Dippers are awesome for dessert. Frozen fruit (pineapple, strawberry, or banana) dipped in dark chocolate. Calories range from 60=100 per serving. Thought you might like it as an alternative:)

You are actually incorrect quesadilla is spanish for little cheesy thing...and the traditional recipe contains cheese and other fillings and is then fried...

Sure, no different then using water:) I usually add the leftover coffee to my shaker cup in the evening when I am making coffee for next day, add a little cinnamon and then put it in the fridge until the next day.

I am 50 years old and in January 2015 my husband and I went on vacation with me weighing in at 171# (5'4"); after seeing pics of myself I was shocked at the rolls around my middle. Clothes were tight at size 10 but I refused to buy anything bigger. I was down to only 5 pairs of pants that I could wear to work! I have been…

I saute it (or kale) pan with a little olive oil spray, diced onions and chopped grape tomatoes, add a little garlic or whatever spices strike my fancy at the moment and serve over spaghetti squash. Very tasty and very filling!

I always cook extra chicken, steak, pork when we grill. Whatever is left over gets either sliced/diced and frozen to use in stir fry, chop suey, stew or any other recipe. I just add it to the other ingredients frozen and reheat it that way.

Here are some great recipes from Stephanie O'Dea's slow cooker website (I am sure all can be cooked traditionally if you do not have or want to use a slow cooker): http://www.ayearofslowcooking.com/2008/09/moroccan-lentil-soup-crockpot-recipe.html http://www.ayearofslowcooking.com/2008/12/crockpot-honey-lentils-recipe.html…
