even raw, grated into a salad. it's really different and good

I do a couple of things. First, I try to sneak more into what I'm already eating. If I make tuna salad, I'll throw in a ton of celery. I swap out some spaghetti for broccoli slaw and throw on some marinara (I like the crunch). Maybe even grate some carrot into the marinara. Second, my husband and I will pick a veggie…

For me it is dehydration or not enough caffeine. And, just not eating enough

I don't keep junk in the house. And, I close my kitchen after doing the dinner dishes so NO night snacking. I just don't allow myself to go in there. I did have to also change up my evening routine when I made this change. I used to watch TV and eat all night. I had to find something else because I associated that night…

I work way more than 8.5 hours a week. I get up early and workout before I go in 3x per week. On the other days, I will do 20-30 mins of elliptical at the office, before I get in my car to go home (or it won't happen). Also, I walk at lunch whenever the weather permits. Its a good mental health break

I don't have ice cream in the house....but once a week I have some. I either buy a small pint (and share) or go out for a scoop.

I do Paleo from time to time to kind of kick myself back into good eating when I've wandered farther from the mark. But, for me it is really just a kind of rigid rules which force me to eat more veggies and more unprocessed food and less carbs. But, my normal diet is centered around lean protein & veggies at most meals. I…

Keep the same schedule every day. No workout day sleep ins. Get a super good alarm. Mine is a day light simulator but whatever gets you awake is good. I have done the across the room thing with the ringer kind Pack everything the night before. Lay out your clothes. Have a plan for everything, what workout you're doing,…

If you are just starting, my advice is to do whatever makes you happy. Build up the HABIT of going, then worry about the effectiveness of your workout. Do you like group classes? I hated those but was pretty happy getting on an elliptical and reading a trash magazine for 30 minutes. Whatever get you in there. Consistency…

I don't use sugar in my coffee but everyonce in a while I will throw a dried date into my cup. It has a deeper, richer flavor (more like brown sugar but maybe that is a U.S. thing). Then, I eat the date at the end

peaches, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries but I eat 99% of my fruit as apples, pears & citrus because of price & availability (free apples & pears due to trees in the yard)

I cook a bunch of chicken breast in the pressure cooker w/ some salsa until I can shred it. Lots of people use the slow cooker instead, same idea. I eat this several times over the next week for burrito bowls. And, I love it on top of shredded raw cabbage (crunch!). HB eggs and steel cut oats for breakfasts (the oats…

I have had lots of different fitbits over the years. I continue to wear one (I am using the charge HR now). I find that although I exercise intensely 3x per week, I can be very very inactive on the other days. The fitbit gets me up and I do try to make that arbitrary 10,000 step goal everyday. I find that doesn't happen…

are there specific things which are tripping you up on the weekends? I struggle with parties where I don't control the menu (dinner or snacks) and with just being home sitting around with a whole kitchen full of food (Unlike being at work where there is only what I've brought in and treats in the coffee bar, which I have…

I just had 1/2 a leftover sweet potato (cold and cubed up w/ the skin), 2 cups of shredded cabbage, 1/2 leftover chicken breast sliced and some light sesame ginger dressing. It was really delish. I like leftover cold sweet potato way more than hot and fresh!

what my husband and I have had good success with is picking one veggie at a time and then making it a mission to figure out a way that we like to eat it. We are probably not as picky as you but we started with brussel sprouts and we cooked them every which way until we found a couple of ways that we kind of liked. For…

My kids are teenagers so I don't know why I was ever reading this but I just want to give my advice which is to take it kind of easy on yourself while your baby is so small. If you're exhausted, then a nap for you is important and you should be relaxing when your baby is sleeping. I did have carriers and I think I had one…

we got a TWO towers of treats delivered by out of town family. They are larger and larger boxes stack on each other with different things in each box. I guess one layer is fruit which we love and immediately put into a bowl on the table to enjoy. I might have either tossed the rest or taken it to work but we do enjoy a…

If you love it and it's keeping you on track otherwise I would embrace it. You're eating it once a day? On a big pile of greens? After a while maybe you'll get to the point where you dilute it with some other oil or mix it half and half or make something from scratch that you feel better about. You might come up with a way…

yes, I try to always have butternut squash, sweet potatoes & spaghetti squash around the house. They store for a long time and really help to even out or stretch a meal when I need it.

know too that Disney is fine with you sharing dishes. And, they are fine with you bringing snacks and your own water bottle into the parks. In fact, they were happy to refill our bottles at all the food stands that we asked.

I have had to shut my kitchen down at night to keep from grazing all evening. We do the dishes, clean up from dinner and then turn the lights off. In the summer it is easier because I'm drawn outside. In the winter it is a little harder since I'm stuck inside. Sometimes I drag a chair into the doorway to remind myself to…

I didn't go nuts trying to lose too fast while my kids were nursing. I kind of used their satisfaction as my guide. Sometimes the little buggers were happier if I concentrated on getting enough sleep, water and good smart foods (enough food, good choices). My kids were born small and hungry and nursed for a year.

If you need motivation, read up on the effects of stress. Especially over a long period of time. That should scare the carp out of you. The best thing for stress relief for me is exercise. I get up at 5:20 every single day to make this happen. I work 10+ hours/5 days a week and I have kids so I'm in a similar place. You…

This week I'm into big big salads. I bring a big bowl with me and 4-5 cups of dark leafy greens (spinach, kale, sliced brussel sprouts not leafy lettuce). Also a baggie with either 1/2 c quinoa, chicken breast, beans. And, I have a mason jar of lemon juice/tahini/garlic dressing that I leave in the office fridge. It's a…

when my kids were little I could get them to eat more veggies by taking some of the stew or pot roast veggies, grinding them up and them putting back into the gravy. Cooked carrots, celery and onions make a tasty gravy and I still do that sometimes because they will eat anything, as long as it's gravy. I use a immersion…

eat them on crackers while playing cribbage with husband! we love the hot sauce or the mustard ones

If I were really hungry I would grill up extra peppers and onions and indulge in that for a side. And some guac.

And, I had a child who wore the same pair of shorts from age 2 to 4 (or longer). Obviously her body changed a ton (and she lost a diaper) but they still fit. Maybe it was the elastic or the stretch fabric, too. It really didn't mean anything. Anyway, congratulations on 20 pounds gone gone gone. Sounds like you are doing…

I love either steel cut oats (make mine w/ milk & add apples) or eggs scrambled w/ loads of spinach, onions, red peppers.
