  • I'm doing great today. I was really scared yesterday. Thank you all for responding, you saved me from a panic attack! I have no idea what I would do without all of your help and support. I actually ate a bit more than normal yesterday and my nose was a little stuffy. Perhaps that was a slight cold paired with…
  • Krissymae88 don't worry about not getting the full feeling, I didn't get it in liquids or purred foods. I panicked and thought that I'd never get it...until I did! Yep, chicken salad did it when I switched to soft foods...yay!!!!! I'm 4 months out and I agree with the others..:different foods means different results. Day…
  • Awe I wish I would have gotten won ton broth!! Booooo me! One thing I loved was sugar free chocolate pudding made with fair life skim with pb2 stirred in right before eating. I also enjoyed tomato basil. Ps: I'm 4 months post op and just started eating soup again a few weeks ago lol.

  • I totally understand! Yay to a great and close new job and super yay to yoga!!
  • I chose RNY because I wanted the bypass/malabsorption. I see this as a "bit more help". I do not have dumping syndrome...based on some things that I've eaten (cheese and no sugar added foods). I'm very picky with what I eat nutritionally, but I've had small servings of things with a bit of fat and sugar. Who knows...maybe…
  • Hahahaha. The same thing happened to me! I decided that I really needed to connect with others face to face and just be around people who are like me. However, my first meeting was also a plastic surgery pitch focusing on boobs...sooo sad. It was informative, and I will need some plastic surgery in a few years...BUT I…
  • My diary is open! Send me a request if you'd like!
  • Fantastic news!! Keep up the great work!!!
  • When I got my date I freaked out. I asked if I could move it out two weeks. The nurse said, "nope, you worked hard for this, you are ready." Turned out she was right and I just had a moment. Day of surgery...cool as a cucumber! I only had a week and a half between notification and surgery! However, my prep time was 6…
  • I journal and that helps me a LOT. You are welcome to check it out. I do an entry each week. www.butyouhavesuchaprettyface.com I had a big stall at the same time post op. I'm 4 months out of RNY and happy to report that I'm losing steadily again. During that time, I focused on exercise, pushing my endurance, and racking up…
  • Welcome to this awesome group! I'm always open to new friend requests!
  • I've had luck with truvia. If you can't do any sugar free, try "no sugar added foods" or something with a low glycemic index like agave nectar or something similar. I have a WICKED sweet tooth as well. I didn't have these cravings prior to my new lifestyle...odd lol
  • For some reason I have hesitated to post soooo many of mine because I was embarrassed of all that I've given up. Many of them are small but put a big smile on my face...bending over to tie my shoes, fitting in patio chairs without worrying that I'll break them, meeting the weight limits of exercise equipment, being ABLE to…

  • 1. Make 5 new and healthy recipes 2. 8 mile hike 3. Hit 70,000 steps one week 4. Attend my monthly support group meeting
  • I LOVE this thread! You all are such amazing inspirations! This week, I ordered company uniforms for the first time in my life. I'm a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and I HATE that my work clothes are close but never the same as my peers'. This was one huge step for me towards feeling like a real person.
  • My husband is kinda struggling adjusting to my new body and his continued increase. He's not comfortable being intimate right now, so I would totally put a male tart up in a nice condo...if I weren't a married Catholic girl BAHAHA. Right now...I'd TOTALLY be someone's sugar-mama!
  • Ki4eld nailed it! I had to lose quite a bit of weight before I even qualified for surgery. I started my journey at 5'2" and 417lbs! I lost 82lbs presurgery by following about the same process ki4eld outlined above. By the time that I hit my presurgery diet...I was ready! I'm not one to buck dr's orders plus I was REALLY…
  • lol you are turning into a nympho...it's ok though. You are in good company at least.
  • Hahahahaha! Thank God I didn't have this when I was 20...I got myself into enough trouble lol! It is really odd and pretty funny. I say that I know know how a 16yr old boy feels during puberty!
  • Nicely done! You look great!
  • You are not alone! I get almost obsessy over it! It is a great thing that there isn't a navy pier or fire station close to my house...I'd be molesting the boys Hahahaha!!
  • Wow Kenda, you look awesome! Great work chica!!
  • I'm sorry that you ended up in the ER BUT Yay referral. I'm prone to depression, and the system surely doesn't understand that one simple "blow off" from a lame office employee can literally dictate recovery or slipping further away. I'm praying for you Vikki. Please let us know when you have your appointment!
