Congratulations! Sounds like you're doing very well! I had gastric bypass 11/16/15, and in doing great! The boredom was BAAAD, but as soon as you can start going out and walking, you'll be soooo much happier. Around 1 wk post op, I started going to the mall or walking trails daily with friends or family. Talking and…

The waiting and preparations process just helps to make your lifestyle change more of a part of you. I'm 7 weeks post op at this point and had 7 months of hoops beforehand. I'm glad, now, that I had all of that time to get my head right, make daily exercise part of my routine, learn how to live and have a social life that…

Sooooo...anyone watch "skin tight" tonight? I love it!!!!! I think that this will totally help me to prepare and know a little of what to expect from my body as I lose weight. I even watched "my 600lb life" and love the lady on the show this week.

That is awesome!! I'm going to have a lot of fun watching sizes drop. Medium sounds amazing! Great job!

Thank you! I'm soooo excited! This is gonna be the best year ever...full of reclaiming activities that I used to love.
-
Yay!! Doin great!

I can't get over how much my mind is opening back up to possibilities that I've had to put on a shelf before. Example: I wanted to try yoga...so I started! I was thinking about blogging, so I learned how! I was thinking about biking the other day and had to actually take a moment to realize that riding a bike is an option…

I ran out of mine for two days the other week...one month post op. Thought I was gonna die everytime I ate anything other than shakes and cheese. I'm gonna ask to stay on mine at least for the first year. It was miserable and lasted about a week.

Yay Fitbit! I sent you a request! I love mine. I have a butt job, but I wear mine everyday. I know that a lot of people get a ton more steps than me, but I still love mine. It's all about improving. I wear mine 24/7 except when I'm in the shower. It really helps me to be honest with myself about my activity.

Thank you all! I'm torn because I actually don't feel that I'm excluding myself from anything, I just no longer wish to celebrate stuff with food and drink and make substitutions. I'm totally cool with doing an activity and accompanying friends to a restaurant afterwords and drinking water! I'm just looking for something…

Awesome!!!!

I'm up and down...mostly up! If I get sick, I fear food for a few days and really struggle to get my nutrients in. Them there is the fatigue!!!! Exercise helps, but I have to do it as soon as I wake up most of the time or it won't happen! When food doesn't sit well, it takes days for my tummy to settle.

Wow great info!!!! Thank you!

I've had great success so far with RNY. I share my diary, so if you'd like to see what I'm eating...I'm an open book. Feel free to send me a friend request! I'm only 6weeks out, but I love my new body plumbing...feels natural to me.

Thank you for posting this article. It was weird the other day when I realized that my collar bone was showing a bit. I tapped it so often with my fingers that I actually bruised. I just kept checking to make sure that i didn't imagine it. When I went to buy holiday clothes after 100lb weight loss, I was way off on size.…

Thanks Autum! I'm feeling better this morning. I'm still beat. First week back to work is hard. I soooooo wanna call off today. I don't quite have the energy to do my treadmill this morning, but I'll try to do my aerobics tonight. Maybe I can sneeknojr out of work a bit early. I'm sooooo glad that I took the extra week…

I use truvia very sparingly. It's yummy on my grits and in plain yogurt!

I totally should have gone back to bed this morning. To use the term "exhausted" would be cute....I'm functioning in zombie mode! I tried tuna today...baaaad idea! I got tuna packed in water, drained, and added green chile stew and light sour cream so it was nice and moist. Tuna was the only new food in here for me. I took…

Great job bcedl1982! That is a nice long walk! I'm glad that you're doing so well. Walking totally makes me feel better too. Fatigue will be your friend for a little while, my friends and coworkers like to tease me about mine. They say that it's my "drunk mode" hahaha.

Thank you all sooo much! This morning it took EVERYTHING that I had to get out of bed, let alone exercise! I feel like I WON for the day because I accomplished both and upped my walking from 1.5 miles in 34 mins to 1.9 in 38 mins...now I wanna go back to bed. Funny how I shifted my focus from work to ME! Hahaha.…

Hahahaha. Thank you! I love the Yoda reference :) I'm so jealous that your hubby is a nurse! You are going to be sooo hooked up! That is why I stayed at my parents' for the first two weeks. My dad is a nurse and my mom worked for a surgeon. I do have one valuable piece of advice to anyone recovering away from home. I was…

Yay! Best of luck to you!

Ok...I've got something that I think is awesome! Today I got a packet of Tyson chicken (packed like the tuna packs...super easy), added bolthouse honey mustard and some light mayo and mashed it up ready well. It was yummers!! I was able to package that into 5 meals!

Thank you all so much. It is so nice knowing that I'm not alone in my experiences, and I'm not just pulling random answers off of the Internet! Perhaps I'm not ready for some of the things that I'm trying to do yet. Maybe a 3 mile hike was a bit too much bahahahaha. I hope that I can get enough energy to get through my…

Ok...I had an epiphany and need to make a confession. Today I caught myself watching My 600lb life. Perhaps the reason that I despised this show so much was because of how it makes me accept that I could be on that show. I started out at 417lbs. I have issues with emotional eating. I spent a lifetime making excuses and…
