You guys are right. I can do it. I’ve started putting photos of me in my hockey gear where I work so I can be reminded of my goal to get back on the ice. My wife and I are making an exercise area downstairs where I can put our treadmill and some of my hockey training equipment so I easily use it (such as my slide board). I…

actually... if I eat the way I am suppose to, losing weight is easy. It's the eating the way I am suppose to is the hard part. Bad food tastes so good.

It's basically the next step past GERD. Basically really bad Acid Reflux that has cause permanent damage. Unless I control it I will eventually get cancer which there is no cure.

I feel you, I have been told to lose weight due to my Barretts, and I also have a bad back (due to a soft core). Not as bad as your back (wish you well), but I know back pain. The good thing about weight loss is that the majority of it can be done in the kitchen. Are you able to do stretches? FitOn has a bunch of good…

But doesn't the crystal light have the bad chemicals like MiO does?

While I would love that, I find that I don't drink enough water throughout the day. And since I play hockey, not drinking enough water is super bad for me :)

Thanks guys.

Very true. I don't have the mental confidence to go to a gym, so for now it has to be done at home (or outside my house). In terms of exercise, hockey takes a lot out of you as it is very physical. I typically need a rest day the day after a game (which are usually late as I get home from those about 1am). The other days I…

Mental and Physical. Im just starting to get back into my diet, so I need to adjust things there. Im for sure getting enough calories. Too many (part of the issue). :) Basically looking for ideas to start exercising so I can have enough energy to keep it up I guess.

For the most part yes. I plan on using a slideboard to work my legs, and I will be doing stick handling which work my arms. Nothing acidic, no junk food, and eat under my calories.

Thanks you

You will lose weight if you stay under your calories, but that's only part of being healthy. Your body still needs vitamins and nutrients that fast food is really void of in decent quantities. So while you can loose weight off of eating fast food and staying under your calories, you are starving you body of what it needs…

Frittatas is an interesting idea. Never made them. I think I might make a bunch on Sunday for my work week. Thanks

Seems like the idea behind a cheat day/meal is to use it as a reward for eating good. I think it would be better to have a reward system that isn't food based

That's very helpful. Thank you

Yesterday I had a total of 1783/2540. When out like that, it doesn't sound so bad

You are right about eating and Barrett's. Though weight loss can control the acid that causes it. While I can't be cured, I can control with with more than meds. I am trying to lose weight. I can figure out the TDEE when I get to work. I'm sure I have been over on calories recently as I just started basically yesterday. I…

I'm in the same boat. Having a tech job it's hard to be active. Sit at a computer all day and oddly when I get home I'm beat. I need to lose 60lbs and started yesterday (for some reason I'm already down almost 2 lbs from eating mostly vegan) we can do this!!
