  • I don't want that memo. Unsubscribe to the chocolate is unhealthy memo, please. Also, agreed @cosmicpixie -- that Green & Black's is to die for!
  • Your protein is pretty low for your weight. I would at least double it to be 90g. That will also help you not feel like you are starving.
  • I like flank, skirt, and bavette cuts :)

  • I hear you -- any change can be hard, especially when it's a lot of restriction at once. Try finding recipes you like to replace what you are missing -- chocolate is a tough one though but it does get easier with time.

  • I weigh mine cooked because I cook for more than myself -- just find an entry that is for cooked portions and use that. Fair warning though, rice and pasta are really high in carbs so your "pathetic" portion unfortunately may be correct haha
  • What are you finding is your biggest struggle?
  • Amazing!! :D

  • I'm a big fan of stevia drops! I get sweet leaf off of Amazon in all sorts of flavours - so good :)
  • Not sure what kind of tips you are looking for :) - Eat mainly nutrient dense foods. - Weigh and log everything. - Figure out your TDEE/starting point for a deficit... http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ You want to aim for a 500 calorie deficit a day between nutrition and exercise. If you are not exercising at…
  • Curious, but what was it that he said about carb cycling that made you want to give it a go? Your macro layout sounds right. Are you timing it at all based on workout volume -- like, high carbs on a heavier/high volume day? :)
  • Oooh! Good to know! I love a good bourbon :p

  • Yeah, that's the best way to do any elimination diet. Slow reintroduction to see how you react :) So what are you finding hard about it? Just missing foods that you're used to? In need of recipes? A really great cookbook that I like is Practical Paleo, which has a whole section on FODMAP-friendly recipes and food options.

  • Well, seeing as no flames have been thrown... What are you finding hard about it? Have you immediately eliminated everything on the list?

  • Agreed!

  • Yup haha... I tried doing ground turkey a few times but I can't even handle the dryness. You could try doing a ground turkey and beef combo?
  • There are some pastas like shiritaki noodles and others that are very low calorie. Not quite wheat pasta but it does the trick. You can find them at Whole Foods.

  • I don't think this will be the best place to talk about the FODMAP diet... haha

  • It gets easier as you go! It took me a little while to learn about macro-friendly foods. When I first started, I remember buying things that ended up being so difficult to fit into my macros because I forgot to check fat content or something. @LyndseyLovesToLift has some bang on advice :)
  • I think the problem here is you are overthinking it and reading into too much hype on the Internet, which is probably the more likely cause of your anxiety. Take it one day at a time. Your body has a homeostasis, in that it adjusts based on whatever you put into it, so if you change anything that your body is used to…
  • Amazing! A 10kg loss is great progress and you should be super proud. I know it's easy to get caught up in thinking about where we want to be, but just remind yourself of where you have come from. I'm sure your body looks very different than when you started. Like people have said, just be patient with the process and…
  • It will, because everything in the bar counts towards your intake -- doesn't matter how healthy we eat, your body still recognizes it as energy. If your goal is fat loss, then you need to make sure that you are maintaining a deficit on a consistent basis. Now if you are going over your limit occasionally, it's not a big…
  • As long as you are tracking them then it shouldn't :) I love Quest bars!
  • I live in the UK so I use one from Bulk Powders, but always go with whey or a whey+casein blend. If you are finding most too sweet then why not try an unflavoured whey protein and flavour it yourself? The plain whey has a mild milky flavour to it and you can mix it up with whatever you want. :)
  • I've recently developed an intolerance to eggs :'( so my go to is usually fast fry steak with diced peppers and mushrooms, or a bagel thin with low fat cream cheese and some deli ham or turkey.
  • Flavored sparkling or seltzer water helps! Try to increase your water intake to see of it helps with the headaches.
