its entirely dependant upon your size, how hard you are lifting, and how long your rest beaks are. if you are doing light lifting you are doing to burn an awful lot less than if you are doing 80% of max deadlifts.

That is flat out wrong. 3500 calories in a pound of fat is a directionally correct heuristic, based on averages of different values like water content of the fat cell.

I do daily, it makes for a noisier graph, but it lets me spot trends more easily. Tends to give a better picture for me and lead to less discouragement
