You... you I like, LOL!

If people were to say that to me I would tell them/remind them that I am not on a "diet" that this is a lifestyle change and that my lifestyle change allows me to eat whatever I want in moderation and that this way of eating has allowed me to successfully lose 28 pounds and keep it off... then I would shove the donut in my…

Not true. I just tried it on a small step stool (as in one of those small ones a child uses to reach the sink) and it counted my steps just fine. Sure, it's boring, but it works! ETA- And when I use my ellipitical it counts those steps as well... that isn't " actually going up stairs".

If people ask I pretty much just keep it short and simple... cuz I know once they hear what I actually do they won't care, cuz it's not some "fad diet" or "miracle pill"... and I'm not about to waste my breathe. I do have one person who actually admires what I do and I will tell her and she always praises me and tells me…

I'm OCD w/ my totals so if a total doesn't add up to equal a multiple of 5 I round up... LOL! For example lets say I log my breakfast and in the end it's 298 calories, I round it up to 300 Or my lunch is a total of 312 calories, I round up to 315... I'm just weird that way! I like looking at whole "round" numbers. But I…

Nope... not just you... I had a friend tell me about some stupid patch she was wearing to help her lose weight... I made it obvious that I didn't care/believe in her "stupid-waste-of-money" method by rolling my eyes and looking away/occupying myself w/ another view of the room... eventually she realized that I was done…

WRONG SO WRONG!

WRONG SO WRONG!

Exactly this! If you want to work out w/ me, cool... but keep your mouth shut and let me do my thing, LOL!
-
I like to workout by myself... actually I like to do most things by myself... I like it because I can do what I want how I want to and I don't have to hold a conversation w/ someone and/or make sure they're "happy" as well... I need to concentrate on what I need/want to do for me and I can't do that w/ others around...

I think we should be friends!!! We'll stuff our faces and stay skinny together! :D
-
When someone calls me skinny that's fine.. like "oh look at you Skinny-Minnie" (or some variation like that). But if someone says "you're too skinny" or worse, "Ewww... you're too skinny" or calls you "skeletor "... all phrases/words that have been directed towards me, I'm sorry but that's not being nice... It wouldn' t be…
-
I feel like I'm allowed... but society doesn't.. You call someone "fat" it's like you committed murder! Call someone "too skinny" and it's acceptable... I think it sucks but that's the way it is!

As far as I'm concerned, eating out is supposed to be fun so I pretty much indulge every time I go out... unless of course it happens to be a week when I'm going out say 3 or 4 times a week (very rare but it happens)... then some of those times I'll be careful. But I try to save my "healthy" eating for during the week when…
-
Yup! That's what I would do... I got a lot of satisfaction just reading what you told her, LOL!
-
Yeah I love how people assume I never eat junk food. Just recently I had a co-worker offer me food and I declined and she said, "but it's healthy"... and it was... But it wasn't what I had planned for the day, nor anything that was worth changing my meal plan around for. I just told her "it's not about 'healthy' I just…

I'm 40, lost 25 pounds in 6 months and another 3 pounds after... been maintaining that 28 pound loss for 6 months now, so... short answer is "no".
-
Never heard it said like that... that's funny! The only person allowed to say stuff like that is my husband! And he actually says it a lot, but that's cuz he's my husband... otherwise, yeah that's not cool! LOL! For the record, I'm "book smart" but not "street smart" and he's the opposite, so that's why he says it. In that…
-
Bahahahahahahaha! Or if someone says "You're lucky you're pretty" in the context of : "cuz you're not very bright!!"
-
Yeah, I KNOW the difference. And when it's from the people I know are complimenting me I say "thanks"! When it's the other people, yeah I'm not so nice to them...
-
Yeah I'd rather be too thin too, but being badgered about it...insulted about it, there's a difference. You can tell when someone is admiring your thinness and when someone is being mean... I realize sometimes it's jealousy, but just because you feel bad about yourself shouldn't be an excuse to try to make me feel bad... I…
-
Yeah I realized that after, LOL... but oh well, too late... and in the end I'm still here for "me" so if people don't like me, and I get it... I understand, but I will survive... ;)
-
It depends on how someone does it. There's this lady in the office that offers me treats at least once a week... (Sometimes a couple times a week). Sometimes I take them, sometimes I don't... But when I say "no" she respects it and walks away. She doesn't badger me, or insult me about how skinny I am... On the other hand…
-
And I also don't think it's "nice" when people insult me because I'm skinny... Again, I don't believe in double standards!
-
No, you're correct...it's not nice, but by the time I get to that point, I'm not thinking of being "nice" anymore...
-
Being the "Bigger Person" is not why I'm here... it's too take care of "me" if you can't respect the decisions I make to take care of myself, then I don't respect you... again, it's a 2 way street. I would never say that just to be mean, like just out of the blue, but if someone disrespects my choices than I feel I have…
-
And that would be fine w/me. Because the way I see it... If you're allowed to "Skinny Shame" me, I'm allowed to "Fat Shame" you... no double-standards where I come from!
-
Oops - Edited to add: This is in response to @kgirlhart 's comment above: That happened last night! I weighed my mint greek yogurt pop, logged it...ate a bit of it...put it back on the scale so I didn't have to dirty another plate while I grabbed something else and my husband picked it up and took a bit of it! I'm like…
-
It was the "squatting" down... it built some more muscle in her thighs, therefore causing the weight gain, LOL!
-
Yes! I weigh myself, first thing in the morning, after my morning "bathroom" and completely naked... then I take a shower, and just for curiosity sake weigh myself again and the scale is up a bit (usually only like .1/.2 but still). That's why I take the first reading of the morning as my weight (unless I have a large…
