I try not to go over, and rarely do unless it's a night out w/ friends or vacation, but when I do, I just cut some calories for the next few days until my weekly total is where it needs to be. In the end it's all a balance. Like @no_day_but_2day said!

The banana I had the other day had was 95 calories... that doesn't sound free to me! Could you imagine a WW follower saying I'm just going to eat fruits and veggies all day cuz they're "free" thinking they're not consuming any calories... Unless they teach it differently, IDK, I've not been to WW.

I heard they consider fruits and veggies "free".... um those have calories so how can one lose weight w/out accounting for those calories.

Have you tried the "light" or "Sugar Free" versions... They're less calories. I don't remember what the light is... but the sugar free is 15 calories a serving (serving = 2TBS)

I have to portion out and hide my sweets because by the time I get a real craving to eat them, the kids have eaten ALL of them! If my kids find stashed sweets they know "that's mom's" don't touch! HAHAHAHA! I still have Oreos hidden somewhere... it's been a while though so I'm not sure how good they are now!

Yes, it comes to choices and controlling yourself. Basically you have to want to lose weight more than you want ice cream... there's no "magic " solution!

Eat it, but adjust all your other calories... You will (most likely ) find you wont have enough calories to eat for the rest of the day and that will change your mind about ice cream. Right I agree... no food is "bad" just some are "better" for you as far as nutrition go. I enjoy BOTH... cuz I love BOTH and I am holding strong to my weight loss...and feel healthy so I'm doing something right! ;) I've read that link; I enjoyed it!

Just for "Ha-Ha"s , I want to have a day where I eat NOTHING BUT "JUNK" but stay in my calorie range. I think the worse that will happen is a tummy-ache! But I think it will be fun! LOL!

They must not be under their calorie goal then... and if they think they are, they are logging incorrectly because as long as they are in a deficit they WILL lose weight (aside from some medical issues that may prevent it, but that's a rare and extreme case)!

As far as losing weight goes, as long as you are in a deficit it will happen. I never paid attention to macros while losing, I just worried about staying in deficit...
