We usually have noise that continues into the early morning hours but not this year. Very unusual. And the holiday was even sort of on a weekend.

I think I finalized all the pre-op stuff although how you'd ever know for sure I have no idea. What a disorganized mess. Tomorrow they are supposed to call with a surgery time. I plan to stick by the phone because we need two times - surgery time and arrival time - and so far that has also been a confusing mess. What a…

Helene - I'm glad it's improving. What Toyota did you settle on and take home? Pam - glad you're not in danger. That sounds awful for the folks involved! July 4th wasn't nearly as noisy with fireworks here as usual. Of course I've probably jinxed it and it will be super noisy this evening!

Pam - I'm sure it felt great to be able to entertain at your new place. Helene - I'm glad things are looking ulp with the stitches and itching and everything!
-
Helene - Here's hoping the recovery continues to go well!! Pam - great news about the foot! I made an appointment for September to get another "short term" injection in my vocal chords (got about a year out of the first one) so that I can push the surgery into next year. One surgery a year seems like enough.

Helene - sometimes I think not just doctors but everyone connected to the medical community views us seniors differently. It's a PITA at times. Pam - that's great that you had a good visit with your sister. Brown bedroom? Really? Between getting organized to get the colony feeding covered, doing the medical pre-op "stuff"…

Helene - my right hip will be replaced 7/15 if I get all the tests/permissions done. But they keep sending me new stuff. Best wishes for the eye surgery. When I go to the eye doctor they tape up my right eyelid for reading the eye chart but no one has suggested surgery. I think I need cataract surgery more than I need…

Pam - that itchy rash sounds terrible! I hope they can give you some relief. I'm trying to get as many doctor appointments in before my surgery as I can. And so of course I just had a huge work project dropped on me. Go figure! I'm glad you are going to get a visit from your sis!
-
Helene - that sounds like a wonderful tribute!

Pam - I am having several CROM volunteers to lunch on Friday. My best friend won't join us because she has begun to find one of the volunteers totally obnoxious. This woman has gotten extremely strident since the election and often is loud about, well, everything. Her heart is in the right place I know. There's another…

Helene - i'm so sorry about your BIL!
-
Helene - I'm so sorry about your hubby's brother! Pam - I'm glad you are getting organized and have air conditioning! Yesterday would have been my sister's 73rd birthday. I still miss her! I feel like I'm drowning. The state is computerizing everything Cat Rescue needs to file and the programming is terrible! I feel like I…

They gave me exercises to do. I hope they help! Unfortunately I found the p/t at the orthopaedic surgeon to be far inferior to the two places I went before (neither of which still exist). Pam - Good luck with the a/c and the ankle!

I'm having hip replacement surgery in July and there's an amazing list of things that need to be done ahead of time. Not looking forward to any of it!
-
Pam -I"m sure you are glad to be moved but sounds like a daunting list of tasks to be accomplished to really feel at home! Best of luck!
-
Pam - thank goodness that that's all it was - someone staying a couple days. I've heard about people moving into empty houses and it being a nightmare to get them out. You really have pulled off a masterful feat! KUDOS! Glad your hubby can appreciate it.
-
Pam - congrats! I don't envy you the move but once it's finished sounds like you'll be happy!
-
Pam - wow, your house sold in one day! That's amazing. Hopefully you'll decide on the house you want to purchase.
-
Pam - sounds like you've accomplished a ton!!!! I bet it would be both physically and emotionally draining. I'm glad you had help and hope you get good news about the house you're looking at. What makes it so good for the next stage of your lives?
-
Pam - that's great news that you're making so much progress and that SIL is helping (mostly). I didn't get much done last weekend because we had a cat show AND my van died coming back Friday night So Saturday was renting a car and getting mine towed, etc. Always fun.
-
Pam - I feel for you on the decluttering fight. I'm having NO luck at all so I'm concentrating on my areas of the house.
-
Pam - WOW! Sounds like a lot but also progress! I'm as usual drowning in work and CROM and also getting ready for the biggest cat show of the year next weekend. We've had some really warm days but it's supposed to be over tomorrow.
-
Pam - wow, you really have your hands full! I've decided that I have the first half of 2025 to find some "spare time" to declutter "my room" and the second half to declutter my side of the basement. Those are the two biggest areas of mine that need work. Unfortunately DH's areas are many many times worse but I can't seem…

Pam - wow, you have your hands full. Good luck with the renovations and the house hunt!

The couple across the street from us is not married, to the best of my knowledge, but they've both been living there for some years. We don't know them well as DH can't stand the guy. We do know he's been diagnosed with early stage dementia. DH is concerned that he's still driving. I don't know enough to have any opinion.…
-
Pam - wow, you've certainly got your hands full. I hope you can get the therapy going better and make sure there aren't any unknown medical issues. He's so lucky to have you.
-
Pam - major ESPs continue for both you and your DH. I can't even imagine what you're going through but am wishing you all the best. That's great that you can still get some therapy to your home. Around here p/t has really disintegrated since the last time I needed it. This last round they sent me to was pretty much a joke.
-
Pam - I'm glad your DH made it through surgery. You've surely got a lot on your shoulders. The guy across the street apparently has early stage dementia. I've never been close to the wife. Part of me wants to say "if you need anything let me know" but between my decrepit hips/back, my full-time job and running CROM I…

We didn't have a ton of snow but it's lingered. If I didn't have to feed the colonies, I'd just stay home. We're finally supposed to start having some days that get over freezing. COME ON MARCH! Pam - I don't envy you having a spouse with shoulder surgery. That's awful that Medicare is so unhelpful. I still have meds left…

I'm sick and tired of winter already. We have been spoiled the last couple years. If it wasn't for the colonies I wouldn't worry about it but the colonies mean I have to care! I'm also getting sick and tired of these newly empowered men who apparently find women like us with brains and education to be terrifying and want…
