This poster is talking about Under Armour I think. I have learned some stuff from the blog when I started out but I get even more from the forum and people who have lived it.

birthday cake! The strawberry was good as was the chocolate. I don't care for the chocolate almond crunch because of the strong amaretto burn, also not a huge fan of the lemon. The cookies and cream was fine, really creamy, my bf loved the black cherry. I'm working my way through the flavors. Next will be cookie dough or…

Big salads with whatever you want, turkey and veggie wraps (avocado and cheese optional), Tuna with Hot sauce mixed with 1/2 a rice pouch, leftovers, frozen bag of soup. All good options.

I'm not a cheat day person. I feel it takes me mentally out of the game. But I'm also not one who needs a mental break from the game. If I ate "junk" food when I was losing I made it fit and any calorie overages were very, very rare. If you must "cheat" you might want to reimagine your diet (by diet I mean eating pattern.)…

Depends on how long it will be until I'm allowed to eat again. I.e. if I'm at home with unlimited access to food, no I do not. But if I'm at work, in a conference, or a class where I will not be able to eat for the next X number of hours yes I will eat now and avoid the hanger and mozzarella sticks that would be in my…

There is no reason you have to eat any more carbs than you are happy with. Prioritize proteins and fats and keep your carb macro stable. It will result in a lower percentage of your total calories coming from carbs but who cares? I mostly eat at a 30% carb percentage to help keep me full and it works fine. That happens…

Please see your doctor. In the meantime maybe you should stop logging? It can be a trigger for some.

I have a fitbit blaze and before that I had a flex. Both worked great and I lost about 50# with their help. I've heard great things about Garmin products as well. When this one goes I'll shop more but I do not agree with those who hate on Fitbit. The only thing with fitbit is the bands on the charge and charge HR are…

Pace/stepcount/stride length discrepancy possibly? I assume your android measures steps? Which incidentally probably isn't that accurate. MFP asks you to pick a speed and you likely have no idea what speed you were really walking unless you calculated distance. Get a wearable. My fitbit is pretty much dead on accurate.

It sounds like you're making it harder than it is. There are plenty of healthier options at most fast food places but why not just meal prep? You can do a lot with 1800 calories. My maintenance calories are 1600. Make a meal plan that fits your goals and the needs of any who you cook for. Focus on one thing at a time. Your…

I loathe small talk. Some people just do. If I do not foresee a conversation being stimulating or am not looking for stimulating conversation I prefer to remain silent. Its okay to be silent. It is not a judgement on you, it's not about you at all. Let people live man.

Anything you used mayo for, they are good in baking, on sandwiches or salads, and of course guacamole is god's gift to people. When I make avocado toast I add sliced tomato and a sprinkle of salt and onion powder...mmmm...I'm hungry :)

You don't gain fat in a day. Its likely a combination of extra food volume and hydration/bloating. I've lost and maintained eating pretty much everything that fitbit and MFP gave me and had no issues. Fitbit will not adjust until you hit the activity level you set for yourself. I.e. I set at sedentary even though I'm not…

All of this is excellent advice. I'll add a few things that i did as well: Carry your water bottle everywhere. Drink water during a crave for both satiety and hand to mouth movement. If you must munch use low calorie snacks that require a lot of chewing. Celery and carrots are the go to snack. If you don't want celery and…

I have also used a fitbit for years and have never had an issue losing weight or maintaining while eating most calories the fitbit and MFP gave me. I suspect that some of those threads have a lot to do with logging inaccuracy than with fitbit inaccuracy or I'm a special snowflake that burns almost exactly what fitbit says…

If you want to have a treat meal do it I guess but better start logging it. I can do a lot of damage in 24 hours of free eating. That's why I log :)

I wish I would have stepped up calories slower and sooner. I did the calorie jump and panicked and wondered if I was going to get fat. I would slow down loss to probably no more than 1lb/week to start out. I don't know your stats but you're quite slim in your picture so I'll go off that. Figure out what portion of your…

As far as eating back calories goes; MFP logged exercise and machine calorie burns are considered inflated (this is pretty likely.) I lost all my weight eating most of what Fitbit gave me in earnings and have been successfully maintaining doing the same. I would experiment, start eating 50-75% and if you're losing faster…

My only advice is stop bringing the problem foods into the house. Buy a cookie at a bakery, get a single serve pack from a vending machine. I find that I don't miss these foods when they're not around. I don't crave them or even think about them. If my boss brings me a doughnut I get to eat it guilt free because I'm not…

Not just weight can vary in packaged food. I work in a facility that mass produces ready to eat dairy products. The butterfat % of our products is legally allowed to vary by at least 10% and some products aren't legally standardized for butterfat at all. Therefore the nutrition facts/calorie counts on these convenience…

I had a similar situation to your husband growing up as there was little to no food available in the house at any given moment. It led me to overeat and be greedy when food was available to me. I didn't realize it at the time but I ate like I'd never see food again because I honestly didn't know when I would. My…

I have used a fitbit with MFP for years, lost a lot of weight and most of the time eaten pretty much everything back.

Get a list of recipes you like with ingredients in your budget. Assemble them into a schedule. Do prep work as needed to save time (i.e. I need onion cut up for 3 recipes this week...*cuts up 3 onions on sunday for grab and go cooking.) It's trial and error. Give it a shot and reassess if you run into issues.

I prioritize protein and fat at breakfast. I eat plenty of carbs but I try to not have carbs be the base of my meal as I will be starving in 2 hours. I make breakfast sandwiches that I freeze. Sautee various vegetables (peppers, onions, spinach etc.), scramble one egg per sandwich you're making, mix together on a backing…

You want to understand more about hot dogs, bananas and ice cream? Go for it I guess. I wouldn't waste time asking around about a fad diet on a calorie counting site. Most people here are pretty much CICO first and nutritional profile/Macro second, with some 80/20 sprinkled in for good measure. There's really not much…

You have to set limits/specific meal times if you are outside your normal routine. If you need a break, take one but make it a walking break (15 minutes outside then back to it.) I quit smoking several months ago and though I was doing this at work prior to my quit, my walks have been instrumental in my (mostly)…

We are not doctors. If OP mentions that they have a binge eating disorder or are claiming red flag symptoms most of us would not advise them here but would encourage them to seek professional help.

You are over thinking. Don't try to change your whole life in one day. Make small changes. Input your data, log your intake faithfully and accurately everyday. Get a food scale that weighs in grams. Choose accurate entries. Start accumulating data about what you are REALLY consuming in a day. Start finding ways to cut that…
