  • Hi Tegan, I'd agree that counting cals "works". I'd get your A1C checked and consider getting on metformn if it's borderline / high with your Endo since thyca prognosis is much better with metformn if you're in that category. Metformin also tends to ease ability to lose weight while counting cals based on my own…
  • Funny enough the answer is sort of. I started having muscle / tendon problems and both my Endos had been reluctant to move away from T4 only until I did. Long story short, I went off all thyroid meds for 5 days and felt great, started on armour and had problems with face sores... So I was put on tirosent about 5 days ago…
  • Good job, thanks a lot for the advice

  • Wow, that's great. You've always been a powerhouse, now supercharged. Worried for those you may compete against. I'm about a month away from introducing T3 as a test, can't wait. Thanks for sharing!

  • Fantastic!
  • What I can tell you guys is that in the last 16 days, I've only had 2 days where I'm a little dull (compared to almost every single day in past). Unfortunately, I really don't know why, it seems rai "fixed" me, at least to a big extent. Having spent 15yrs in a fog, I can now tell you it's worth giving everything a shot to…
  • That is so true, none of us are perfect and we all binge at some point. Just don't let a binge keep you down. Move on! I always try to psychologically program myself to avoid / learn from mistakes like binges. But most importantly is to think in long run, weight is a marathon, not a sprint, incremental improvements and…
  • Haha thanks. Yep, I know quite a few people That workout hard to enjoy eating a lot more. You're certainly one of them based on your workout posts. I've even used swimming and ice packs to increase my ability to eat more in past (thermal load). When I ate all the good (bad) stuff. Now that my diet is pretty healthy, and I…
  • I used to pre thyca and thought it was awesome. Excellent advice, thanks!

  • Yep, good decision to fire that endo, hopefully you can find a good one. Seems ideal one would be willing to give you at least T3 along with T4, and possibly several other things too, to experiment with their guidance. I guess there's likely inherent "risks" which is probably why so many endos don't want to stray from T4…
  • Melissa, by the way, you sound like you're putting yourself down with waitress comment about who I'm dealing with. Please don't ever do that internally or externally. Waitress demands a lot of social ability along with the rest of the job and dealing with variety of people effectively there is one of most difficult jobs. I…
  • You guys sound a lot like me. I wake up, have trouble getting back to sleep sometimes. Bad night is 4 wake ups, 3hrs total sleep. Drives me nuts. I have suffered brain fog for so many years! Sometimes to point where I try to avoid others because I'm totally clueless, forget names of people I see every day and words are…
  • Ya, it's frustrating... I'm doing a tough program given me by a sleep specialist now where you intentionally don't sleep enough (never nap) but go to bed and rise same time every single night / morning. The good is I'm up at 630 (historically 8) so I have time to workout in an now. Those sleepless hours i'm filling with…
  • Thx, agree with your comments, hopefully we'll get some more participants and this gains some traction. So far I'm not terribly impressed with the app when it comes to the social aspect, but the logging, ability to use barcodes on food, and tracking exercise setting goals is awesome. Good luck making it a core habit!
  • Wow, never heard of tramp idea. Docs told you to do? Has it helped?
