Putting some of these in my reading queue. I've been meaning to read How to Have your Cake and Your Skinny Jeans Too. Anyone read this and would recommend it before I download it to my kindle? The sample seems good enough.

I started at 292 lbs and lost 100 lbs in a year (my goal was 50). BUT I haven't really gotten any further since because I've been regaining and losing the last 20 lbs for the last two or three years.

I use to double track on weight watchers. It drove me crazy. I never knew which I should stop at. The WW pts or the calories. Then I realized that on most days I would over eat on fruits. I'd fudge the numbers too. What I would recommend is learning how to eat in a healthy way by following slimming world then switching…

Homemade cinnamon raisin french toast with 2 tsp light syrup and a coffee...that most of it dumped into the lake I was at when I had it.

Leftovers are always great. For instance I had leftover chicken from one night and leftover baguette from another night. There was pesto in the fridge so I made a chicken pesto sandwich. Yum! Or sometimes I like cheese, crackers, maybe some salami. Make some hardboiled eggs too! Add some fruit and veggies and tada!

I like ice cream as treats and sometimes you can find the fun size or mini candy bars in a bulk food store or a grocery store. I personally like the Clack bar jrs or twix minis!

Don't eat it and find another satisfying snack with a decent protein count. No need to force yourself to eat something you don't like.

Okay...My dad brings MREs home on occasion and I've never seen food like at in them. Where's the BEEFy mac? Stick to CICO.

You probably already know, but be warned about the free fruit. On Weight Watchers fruit is free too, so I ended up eating more than I thought I was having and gained weight. But that's where your accountability on mfp comes in. That'll keep you in line. Kudos to you! I like programs like that because it helps you alter…

Just a question, do you rely on what Slimming World's system of tracking tells you or mfp? I was doing weight watchers for a little and tracking on here now and again. I relied on weight watcher's points even though I could tell I was over my calories. If you find yourself relying on calories more than Slimming World…

My sister's doctor actually told her she wasn't eating enough. Yeah, a woman her size that is gaining weigh isn't eating enough. Most likely she doesn't eat when she should/needs to and then overcompensates when she does it. I'm sure her 32 oz mocha iced coffees with cream from Dunkin Donuts doesn't help either, but that's…

I was just going to say that I didn't snack at all when I was in Europe, but then I realized it would have been a lie. Refocus yourself and get back on track. Where you tracking meals over there or did you stop tracking? I'm going to bet if you didn't track that your meals were a little higher in calories, so you didn't…

Egg with 8 gm of sharp cheddar on two eggo waffles with 2 tbps sugar free syrup.

Lately it has been egg and cheese on some type of carb. Last week it was on waffles and this week it has been on half of a croissant. I may go back to oatmeal a little next week. Normally it's a mix of oatmeal with fruit or egg sandwiches. I don't eat cold cereal that often. Maybe once a month if any. It just doesn't fill…

I would eat more. Depending on your goal you could be getting close. Usually people severly underweight loss their periods and people severely overweight have irregular ones. I lost 100 pounds and mine became more painful and heavier when it was hardly there at all or continuous (had it for weeks at a time). So double…

Yes, this will happen. On Sundays I do a 3 hour bike ride. I couldn't imagine doing it on an empty stomach. I even stop half way and need to eat something to help with my energy levels. I time it so that when I get home I'm eating a meal instead of mindlessly filling my mouth with something to satisfy the calorie void in…

To me the lactose free ones taste sugary. I think it may be the enzyme they put in it to counter act the lactose. The only one that I found I liked was in Germany. Don't remember the brand. I can't get it here anyway. I just remember drinking it and thinking it tasted a little off. Then I muddled through the packaging…

I tend to stick to 1200 but I usually go over for a treat. I usually work the treat into my calorie for the day, but life happens. I do a major exercise day on Sundays (3 hours of bike riding). This allows me wiggle room on Sunday and sometimes calories that I can spread throughout my week to make the allowance higher.

I've seen other posts on here saying that if you crave a certain food you're deficient in a certain mineral/vitamin. So I could see this working, but if what I mentioned it true, is it really helping? Besides, a square of 70% dark chocolate is about 60 calories. If I'm craving it (especially during the TOM) I give into the…

My stomach's a bit sensitive to milk so I try to avoid it's pure form (cheese, ice cream, and sometimes yogurt are okay). I like lowfat soy milk or regular unsweetened soy milk. I mostly use it in my iced coffee. Almond milk is okay, but it doesn't have the creaminess of soy milk. Coconut milk...ehhh, not my cup of milk…

I do cheat days....on days a load up on exercise. My 30 mile bike ride transformed into carrot cake.

Congrats! That's less than what i gained when i went to Germany. I gained 5 lbs there. I did a lot more walking too, but i guess the doenners and pasteries did me in. So congrats again!

I started weighing oatmeal too. That was depressing as well...

I kind of want to say doing Weight Watchers, but that was true during the time after the initial year or so. I got too use to it and was able to play with the numbers. Dr Ian Smith's diet was pretty awful. The principal was there, but the execution was poor. I cringe whenever I see him on TV. It has 'extreme' in the title.…

Eating like a hobbit; breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper. In other words, grazing all day. And candy of course. I'm more of a sweets person than a savory one.

Marry the suggestions of eating a little with bringing something you made. This way you can indulge a little without being deprived. So what if you go over? One extra indulgent will not derail your success. Hiding from social gatherings will not help.

Congrats! Oh my, I weighed out grapes today. The cup measurement said that a cup was 50 or so calories. Nope! Thank goodness for scales!

I've never tried this and probably can't. I've had too many instances where my blood sugar (I'm not diabetic) dropped too low and I nearly faint. Or I get hangery and want to rip out someone's throat. Kudos to those that can though.

I've found that I'm more successful when I prelog my food. Last night I was working on my entries for today until Thursday. Most of the items have generalized weights (using cups instead of grams). When I make my lunch and weigh everything out I change the measurement to grams. Making lunch is so much easier now!

What everyone else said. If you can't, use your best guess. For me it looks like 1 c of pasta 1/2 c sauce and 1/2 ear of corn. If you know the brand names for the pasta and sauce it makes it a little more accurate. I didn't consider the summer squash because they're so low in calories, but to be more accurate I would say…
