Hi Tammy…..I’m in exactly the same boat as you. I need to drop about 50 myself (280 now), so hopefully we can figure all this out. I think Chad has the right plan.

Lori……I have been a paramedic for 40 years and will tell you that neither of those conditions are a 5 year death sentence. Take one day at a time and live your best day possible each day. I have a friend with DHF that has lived 11 years so far since diagnosis. Stay strong!!!

Hello all……back after a long layoff from MFP. Retired fire captain and 40 year veteran paramedic. Still getting used to nights without firehouse meals and adjusting to sleeping all night. Y’all take care and stay strong!!

I currently weigh 270, and feel frustrated as hell with the way I feel. I’m going on a cruise in 2 days, but when I get back it’s on like donkey Kong. Goal weight is 225, but what the heck… might as well aim high.

Drink a protein smoothie when you get hungry......10 oz almond milk, yogurt, chocolate whey protein and ice in a blender. This will help ease the hunger pain. You are probably right with the psychological part. Celery and carrots also will help keep you full. I recommend 5-6 small meals a day.
