  • The summer has been hectic with travel but I back online with our community! Hope all is well with everyone. I look forward to seeing posts from new friends.
  • @AbandondedKSCharger - I think our group must have fell off of the front page of the community. IDK how to get us back on top. I shall research it. :-)
  • Hi all! @sososoph33 - I feel you! No worries. This time I have really worked on building a group of active friends on MFP and it has really helped me. @Sassymanda - I like how you said "I have taken the responsibility..." I appreciate how hard of step that is. Great work!
  • I am 41, somewhere between 5'5" and 5'6" and trying to go from 180 to 145. I am down a whole 4.5 lbs but not giving up on the 1/2 lb a week slow rolling change. Other goals: 1 mile < 10 minutes and just 1 pull-up
  • Happy Wednesday - middle of the week! I am on my longest streak yet with MFP. On most days I am actually managing to log everything. Those notifications help but I also added it to my Todoist list. Anyone else a crazy check list person? I need my lists, otherwise I am super stressed with everything jumbled in my head. Hugs…
  • I just completed this week's round of messages. I am committed to once a week! This is the first time, I have managed to keep a streak of logging for more than 30 days and I know it is because I am part of a community. If I have missed you as a friend or with a message, just send me a message. Have a great week.
  • Does anyone want to start a weekly check via message? I normally log on the site once a week and can exchange personal encouragement. It is a little more active than just checking status. Let me know.
  • Hi all! Making my weekly ride through the community boards. Staying motivated via participation. @CSARdiver - I love that acronym! I am going to make that my mantra this week.
  • Encouragement for the weekend: The goal is long term: take each day as it is and just work on improving. A minor setback is just a short delay. Keep looking towards the goal.
  • This weekend I am going to be accountable for keeping my calorie count under control even if it is the weekend.
  • @Hanna3831 - What kind of accountability do you want? I am much better at generally being encouraging but I can try to ask you about your goal on a periodic basis if you would like.
  • @deanaslone - I hear ya! My hubby likes healthy food but also likes to buy stuff in bulk at Sam's so we end up with lots of snack stuff. I have to hide it from myself in the pantry!
  • I know we are supposed to have other goals not tied to the scale but I can honestly say that my goal is 30 lbs. I am on Real Appeal right now from my insurance which is great but it's 1/2 lb a week. Sigh. I am not giving into a quick diet though. I have done lots of quick diets, the weight comes off and then comes back on.
  • Hi! I feel like I'm starting over the 88th time or maybe the 100th time! Whatever it is, I am glad we are all here and I am excited to have new friends! Let's support each other and make this happen!
  • I was reading the responses and I just wanted to add... don't be too hard on yourself. Accept that you will fall off the wagon and then accept that you have to force yourself to get back on it. For me, it is a weekly battle. I do really great M-F then stumble Sat and Sun. It isn't optimal, I would lose weight faster if I…
  • So True!!! I have decided not to go into the gym because I am without my headphones.
  • I want to be a success story! I have been on and off of MFP for years. It always helps me for a couple of months and then I lose interest, get busy, (you name the excuse), etc. Now that I look around, I see that there is a community to join and I am excited to be part of it. Looking forward to a great 2019!
