Okay, first Monday of June. I am getting back on the damn horse and logging my food, activity (even though I dont get extra cal to eat), and water. Knowing is half the battle. I got up early (6am), showered, took care of my pets, ate breakfast (with my birdie), packed my lunch, did my 10min of Wii Fit, and left early to…

Tonight I figure out a wt lifting circuit. I'm told wt lifting is better for wt loss than cardio bc you build muscle wt lifting better than you do w cardio and muscle burns fat even when at rest unlike cardio. Feel the burn! jk

Thursday Truth: On April 25 I started swimming laps. Just once a week, then twice a week. I missed a week but now I am back at it. This morning I was hoping for a wt loss but instead I had a gain. I instantly blamed the exercise and got mad, ready to swear off extra activity. But then, as I stewed over it, recalling…

Thursday truth: I lowered my expectations and raised my calorie goal. I still want to get rid of this excess fat asap but I just wasnt able to restict myself enough to stay within the cal budget for 2lb/wk so I lowered it to 1lb/wk. Here's hoping this will help inch me closer to my goal.

Cool @sand86802 Thanks! I am tired of driving 40min each way to go swim at my Mom's but I really like swimming for exercise so I am going to join the YMCA today  but I have to go at least 3x a week for it to be worth it. Crossing my fingers that I will do it.

I need to keep myself busy. When I am bored, I eat. How dumb is that!?! In my defense, my pets do the same thing so I must have learned it from them. j/k

Me too @gullagr. I continue to try to drop into the 280s but I dont stay there long. I like fresh beginnings so Monday, May 1st is a good day for me to recommit to low carb DASH and start doing daily cardio sprinkled with 3x/wk oh-so-important strength training. I'll be earning stickers on my calendar for days that I do my…

It seems there is some confusion about the challenge. The weeks are listed by wednesday but originally I thought weeks would be from the Sunday before that wednesday to the Saturday following. But whatever ya'll want to do is fine. If it is easier to have weeks start on the Wednesdays listed, okay. IDC one way or the other.

Paul, how dark was the chocolate? 70% cocoa or more? Niki, that's a great idea with the colors on the calendar to mark calorie goal achievement. I might use that too. FourLynne62, are you participating in the Ready for Summer 10 week challenge? Or are you just sharing your weekly weights? I am confused.

@campfirequeen1 I have had premium for about 6 mos now. I love it! <3 If you pay for a year it breaks down to only about $5 a month. It is totally worth it to me! But you'll have to decide for yourself.

I started swimming for exercise last night. Only did a half hour of leisurely but WOW am I sore. 394 calories burned does NOT do it justice! My Wednesday wish is to become the beautiful mermaid princess I envision myself to be. And I also wish my muscles would stop aching.
