  • @happygirlxxx Congrats on the clothing down size! It is a GREAT feeling to experience! I have some smaller clothes in my closet but I also buy some new stuff as I shrink.
  • NSVs  My belt is almost too big for me so I gave it to DH. He has been losing wt too! I went out to eat twice yesterday and both times I ordered calorie free beverages without flinching. It is true that I still ate too much, but I ate much slower and savored every bite. Today I wore a work shirt that…
  • @jam5660 Thanks for asking! Things were not working out for me at the YMCA. I dont have children so that wasnt really the place for me. In May I started swimming twice a week at my DM's indoor senior community lap pool. Loved it! Took my DH, who is also 100+ to lose, and he loved it. But it is a long ways for us…
  • @ihp2015 Hi Irene! Great wt loss for this week! You are really dreaming big with a goal to lose almost 30lbs in 10wks. Good luck! What are your plans for achieveing such a lofty goal? @pneschich I too dislike the challanges. It feels like everyone just shouting into space. Not much interaction or support. If each person…

  • @pneschich I think lifting could be a good goal setter for you. A coach/personal trainer could help you. Muscle can help keep it off in the long run. And building some strength has multiple benefits just like walking has many benefits. You are my role model!

  • @Nikion901 I hear you on the woot woot for finishing yardwork! Tried to mow yesterday morning. Mother nature decided to rain so hard that the mower stalled. I had to go back later to finish the last 5 minutes. But now it looks so nice. Congratulations! :high five: @pneschich promotions are stressful and people are too. I…
  • That is a great pic. I don't do kayaks/canoes right now. Last time I did, I weighed the boat down to the waterline and sunk it. Terrifying when there are gators in the water with you! My DH is heavier than me. He can't play WiiFit games with me bc he exceeds the balance board wt limit. But we love to swim. <3 We each have…

  • I swam laps last night with my new swim gloves. They are silicon and put webbing between my fingers. Helped me swim faster and gave me a good arm workout. I love to watch the bubbles under water while I swim freestyle with them!
  • Today marks 6 urs since I lost my dad. I took the day off work but I am NOT going to give myself a pity party. I am definately my father's daughter. I look like him and act like him but I will not die like him. He did not take care of his health and he was very sick when he died. I don't want to die slowly like he did. I…

  • Tuesday goals: 1. J.o.b. 2. Follow food plan 3. At least 6 cups water 4. Buy more lids from GFS for my disposable containers. I dont have my cottage cheese with me at work today bc of this one. 5. Relax and take care of me. Feeling sluggish today could mean I am fighting something.
  • Happy belated bd Paul. It makes me so happy and inspired that you say 53 feels better than 40. You Rock! And happy bd to your wife too.

  • It is easy as A (antecedents) B (behavior) C (consequences). - "Changing For Good" One of my problem behaviors is evening eating. Ever since I was in grade school I have come home in the afternoon, plopped down in front of the TV and eaten till it was time for bed. It is how I unwind from the day and relax. But it is a…

  • I have an old teddybear that has a sign that reads, "If stress were a diet, I'd be a size 2."
  • @skinnyjeanzbound Karen, I really like your ideas for a nutrition challenge or even the fitness challenge. I might just post my grams and ounces here even w/o an ofgicial challenge.
  • I am gaining during this challenge. Is it better to continue or drop out? I am embarrassed by my gain so I think I will drop out. Sorry. Good Luck to everyone. I am sure many of you will reach your goals by the final WI.
  • Helene, water jugs or canned foods can be used as hand weights. Really, anything that can be picked up; a dictionary/phonebook, a baby, a cat.

  • So many of you are totally killing this summer challenge! I am really impressed and a little envious! Keep on chugging along friends!
  • I am very depressed lately and eating everything I want. Why must wt loss require such a conscious focused effort? I know the scientic/evolutionary answer but it seems to me, either way I still end up dead. Get too skinny, starve to death. Get too fat, callopse from a heart attack.
