  • I was late for work this morning because the skirt I thought I was going to wear ended up sliding right off my hips as soon as I zipped it up! I’ve always thought that skirts are much more forgiving than pants when it comes to trying to stretch out the time of wearing too-big clothes, but I think I’ve hit the max on this…
  • Keep up the great work everyone! Last night, I took my measurements for the first time in about 2 months. The most shocking was that I've lost 6 inches off my hips since I started back in January. I'm sure all the running is helping that number considerably!
  • Oh! That's me - I'm 36 with another 35 lbs to go (already lost 42!) Like someone else above, the goal is to have this done by New Years as that'll be a year since I started.
  • I tend to pre-fill as I pack my lunch bag the night before. We also menu plan a week at a time, so sometimes, I'll go ahead an enter dinner at the same time.
  • I'm a travel agent, specializing in Disney World vacations, so, believe me, we go ALOT! That said, some of my highest step count days have been at Disney, so I don't really tend to watch what I eat too much cause I know I'll likely walk it off. And even if I do gain a few pounds while I'm there, that's okay too as long as…
  • Just thought I'd close the loop on this - It magically started working again this morning! lol Still doesn't have anything for yesterday, but it's keeping track of today's steps, so I guess that's good enough. Thanks again for all your help!
  • Thanks for the suggestions! It has now stopped counting from my phone completely, but still not syncing with my phone. Will keep trying. Thanks for the suggestions!
  • I don’t share my diary, but, believe me, it doesn’t include a ton of healthy stuff. Most mornings for breakfast, I have a breakfast sandwich from the local coffee shop that includes an English muffin, egg and cheese (280 calories). Lunch is usually leftovers from last night’s dinner and dinner is whatever was quick when I…
  • I actually had the opposite problem. My entire life, my cycle has been wonky, going anywhere from about 40-70 days. It's only in the last 6 months since I started eating better and losing 40lbs that my cycle is a regular 32 days. Funny part is that I've weighed my current weight (175 lbs at 5'6", so not thin, but not obese…
  • I'm so proud! I finished C25K today! And in my fastest time yet (13:30/mi)! I know it's as slow as a turtle, but, for me, it felt like I was flying and could feel the giant smile on my face the whole time!

  • Today, I hit a total of 40lbs down. I celebrated by going out and doing W7D3 at 6:15am on my day off! This was my first morning run, despite not being a morning person at all, I do like the fact that I hit my 10,000 steps for the day at noon and now have the rest of the day for myself :) It's supposed to feel like 41…
  • I celebrated having lost 40lbs this morning with a run at 6:20am on my day off! Who is this person who has taken over my body? lol
  • I’m 5’6” and currently weigh 175 lbs. I had MFP set to lose 2 lbs per week and have it set to Sedentary so that my FItBit can do its thing. That gives me the 1,200 calorie allotment too. In truth, I also usually log somewhere around 15,000 steps/day, so I regularly get a bunch of extra calories. And I usually eat around…
  • I moved my wedding rings to a necklace today - They're too big, so they spin around my fingers (very annoying!) and I'm afraid that I'm going to wash my hands or something and they're going to come flying off. I still have 35-40 lbs to go, so don't want to get them resized just yet. Until then, I'm wearing them as a…
  • I seem to have a mental block around the 15-16 minute mark. It took me three tries to push through W5D3 and yesterday, I tried W6D3 and stopped right around the same mark. I think I've been pushing it too fast, not that it's fast by any means. I'm usually averaging around the 15 minute mark (including the walking…
  • Congratulations on the wedding! I got married at 32 - When I got married, I was a size 14 and, yes, I wish I was thinner (and younger! and prettier!). I actually weigh about 10 lbs less today than I did when I got married. My wedding rings are actually very annoying lately cause they spin around my fingers. But you know…
  • At least every morning, sometimes more than once a day. That may sound very obsessive, but it really does make me way less obsessed with the number. For instance, yesterday, I hit a new low. This morning, I was up two pounds from that low for no apparent reason. If I was only weighing weekly and Thursdays were my weigh-in…
  • Nobody told me how often I would feel frumpy as I'm losing weight. It could cost a small fortune to refresh my wardrobe every time something becomes too big, so I wear the clothes that sorta fit. Not that I'm complaining that I get to shop more often :)
  • This was exactly the strategy I used - I figured I had nothing to lose by trying the 20 minutes. It took me three tries, but I finally did it! The first time, I got to 16 minutes before my brain gave up (not my legs or my lungs!). The second time, I got to 15 minutes. The third time, I re-adjusted my route so it was…
  • I'm about to start week 6. There have been several runs along the way that I've had to repeat cause I couldn't finish them 'properly'. It took me three tries to finish W5D3. Just go at the pace you're comfortable. It's totally ok if you have to repeat.

  • I often say that when I get to X pounds, I'm going to treat myself to a manicure, but then I get there and I'm so thrilled, that I don't feel the need to reward myself. I'm currently on week 6 of C25K - I have said that when I complete the program, I'm springing for a pedicure cause my feet will need it by then! lol That…
  • I DID IT!!!!!! It took me three tries, but I finally finished W5D3! I may have started crying at the 19 minute mark when I realized I was going to do it just because I was so proud of myself!
  • Hubby and I have not had fast food on 2016! This from the couple who would stop at McDonald's at least 2-3 times a week!
  • I'm still in the middle of c25k (week 6), so certainly no expert. However, someone told me that if I wanted to improve my speed, that I once I'm comfortable with running for 30 minutes, I could start back at the beginning of c25k. The 60 second runs will be a piece of cake by then, so your speed will also improve.…
  • So, I tried W5D3 yesterday. I got to the 16 minute mark, reached a hill and that was the end of me. I was actually feeling really great until then, so I don't think the whole 20 minutes is that far away. At this point, my plan is to continue attempting the whole 20 minutes until I can actually do it. It that takes me a…
  • This is sorta related to the scale, but… As of today, hubby and I are down a combined total of 100 lbs since we started this journey in January. The scale victory is obvious, but the NSV is that we are getting healthier as a family.
  • Congrats on starting! You'll be amazed at what your body can do! I'm five weeks in and feel so much better about myself :)
