I started at about 390 in May of 2015. I reached onederland at the end of July.

I'm another big dinner planner, but I've had some very early/long days recently, and I have had to break things up more evenly in order to not starve during the day. Looking forward to my routine getting back to normal. I'm also generally a breakfast skipper, but that's just not possible at the moment. I only preplan and…

Are you still losing? Meaning, even with your imperfections, overall, you're heading down on the scale? If so, maybe you're overthinking this and freaking yourself out. Life is going to be imperfect. You'll lose focus while maintaining, too. I have found that close to every major milestone ( under 300, -100, hitting…

I just don't know. I want my body to stop eating the little bits of fat left on my upper body and start eating it off my hips/lower belly.

I gave away stuff to my SIL, and I figured she might be a little offended, but the items were really nice, expensive, and youthful as well as barely worn - clothes that I loved and had bought as rewards after losing a little bit. Also, she gave me her "fat" clothes in the past, so even though I know we're different people…

I discovered my Fitbit gave me steps while riding my bicycle (despite it recognizing the activity as cycling and showing 0 steps - still had steps added to my daily total), so I don't wear it while bike riding anymore.

I don't log bodyweight or resistance or weight work.

My vote is delicious. Unfortunately for me, I don't control my intake of bananas too well, so I tend to buy other fruits and leave the bananas at the store. I see one, and I want one. Doesn't matter if I have just finished a meal.

At 20, it probably won't be so bad. I lost 80ish at 19 (started in upper 200's back then), and I wish I had the same skin results this time!!! :( Do it now; it's the best time. 10 more years and possibly more pounds will equal a much bigger problem.

This is the story of my life. The desire to shove things in my face has not gone away just because I have lost weight. I do think that it's improved somewhat, though. I will never look at food solely as fuel (not sure that most people really can do that), but it's a little better. Some days are easy. Other days are…

Can your scale handle the weight of your crockpot (perhaps when empty)? I keep notes in the kitchen, and I know the weights for the pots and bowls I use most often. That keeps me from having to transfer the food back and forth after cooking. My scale can't handle a full crockpot, but it can handle most other things. Ask…

I dunno about squishy fat, but I started losing in whooshes about 40 pounds ago. Always lost pretty consistently until that point. I have large whooshes followed by 3 weeks of blah.

5'10", 197 lbs as of last week, 38-31.5-41, calves 15, upper thigh 22, too hard to measure arm by myself. I'm -1, -1/2, -1 inches since two weeks ago, but my weight hasn't really changed since three weeks ago. I'm a weekly weigher, so maybe this week's WI has a surprise for me. Or maybe I just screwed up when I measured…

:) I knew there was someone who generally gave that speech.

Despite what people want to believe, loose skin is skin that has lost its elasticity and ability to shrink to fit, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it or change it. No one can tell you whether or not you will have any. Things that make it more likely are: a larger amount to lose, age, cycles of regaining and…

LOL! Just saw this.

Really? Only 1,954?? I am so making that work one day. Deliciousness. Honestly, other than the Quad Bypass Burger, I could find a way to fit the majority of those items in if I really wanted. I just wouldn't find it to be worth it very often. Also, my dinner last night was over 1,000 calories. Not that unusual.

Yes, I have had crazy fluctuations like that. I have always just assumed carbs/workouts/maybe sodium and that I am someone who is especially water retentive.

Same. Salty stuff isn't an issue. Chips will go stale. Sweets, though? Yeah, I am quite happy with environmental control vs. trying to whiteknuckle my way through a whole box of doughnuts on my counter. Screw willpower. I have strategic planning and buying power. ;)

Less time sleeping means more time spent awake and eating.....yeah, I don't like it when I wake up stupidly early knowing that a very late dinner is happening that day.

If I weigh out some yogurt, I don't lick the spoon afterwards (unless I tared out the container and weighed from it vs. weighing into the bowl because then the yogurt on the spoon is part of the grams I took out of the container). As for tastes of other people's food, like a stray french fry here or there, I will quick add…

Open diary. I eat a lot of produce, nuts, Greek yogurt, and chicken. Pork, tuna, and eggs are other proteins. Not a lot of beef. Not as many grains as the food pyramid suggests. Not a lot of boxed stuff - i.e. I don't really buy a lot of crackers or Fiber One bars or pretzels/chips. Today - B: iced coffee with Splenda and…

Mine's been checked regularly. I've been weighing in monthly at the doctor since starting my weight loss. It's fine. I could mainline caffeine, and it would still be fine. I went from 160/90 before losing weight to borderline normal after losing 10-15% to 110/60 without changing my salt habits. Less stuff from a box,…

5. I look fine in photos at ages up to 3, but at 5, I was a chubby chipmunk. I was also aware that I was larger than the other kids at that age and had picked up on snippets of adult conversation about my weight becoming an issue. I went on my first self-monitored, calorie-counting diet at 10 or 11. I started that on my…

This was more my standard commentary on this topic in general and not directed at anyone in this thread since, like you're aware, I haven't read the thread. On these forums, though, and in other places, I have seen people remark with very black-and-white thinking on what constitutes health. Sometimes, it's just repeating…

If you don't have high blood pressure, a little extra sodium is probably fine. If you do, then sticking to the recommended limits is probably a good idea. Overall, we as a nation eat a lot of sodium. I go over sodium often, but after tracking it for the last 15 months, I have a pretty good idea that I ate a LOT more sodium…

Haven't read through the thread. I have a BMI of 28. My current goal weight will give me a BMI of 25. I'll still be just a bit into the overweight range. As it stands right now at my current BMI, my doctor has no issue with me maintaining here. I want to lose a few more pounds for myself - mainly because I want to go down…

Also look up the Galloway method.

Nope. Nope - no such thing as natural removal. Very small stones are also the kind that get into ducts and cause serious problems. I had my gallbladder out about 90 pounds ago. I had no issues with any foods before removal. I had one major attack that came on after eating a very low fat salad several hours beforehand, and…
