Fabulous! What a great transformation!

It kind of sounds like you used these big events in your life as a springboard to lose weight. Now that the events are over.... You've lost your motivation. And that's the problem with "motivation", it doesn't have staying power! You need to change your mind. What I mean by that is you need to change the way you think…

Outstanding!! You look just beautiful...healthy and HAPPY!!

That is HUGE SUCCESS!! Congratulations!!

I'm with lyttlewon for sure. I'm 55, 5'6" and currently sitting at 153.8. I'm ALWAYS here or +1 lb. My goal was 150 from the beginning (because, well, that would put me at an "even" 50 lb. lost and that satisfies that PERFECTION albatross that hangs around my neck). I can't get to 150. I even had aspirations to get to 145…

I lost 48.5 lbs over 7 months at an average of 1.75 per week. I'm 54, 5'6". I work out 5-6x week about 30-45 min a day. My TDEE comes in at 1805. I don't think I used MFP to figure that, I don't remember. I never count or eat my exercise calories, I consider them bonus. They don't have a high count anyway (kettlebells)…

OP: How tall are you?

well gosh, soufauxgirl...thank you!!! I fill a 3Liter pitcher of water every morning and it's gone by dinner. 8 out of 10 days, I'm THIRSTY in the evening (wha???) and end up drinking a coupla more glasses. No one is more surprised than I!!

clara - I get why you say that! I had just had my hair colored in the first pic. After a couple of weeks, my hair color starts washing out and turning brassy. At the end of 6 weeks it's almost completely brassy-blond. ugh. It's a problem for my hair-dresser niece, for sure!

efrens: I don't know how! It was so weird... I had a terrible time holding my bladder for, like, EVER. I am certain I've been in constant dehydration for YEARS. I always seemed to have a sense of urgency even though I barely drank 24 oz. a day. But after the first week or so of 3-liters? I was able to hold it for longer…

Thanks Canuck! and Slim, gasp! you are right. Now that you mention it, I realize I haven't had to take my daily Zyrtec for the past 3 weeks...and the spring allergies/pollen are in full swing. Wow. a DEFINITE pro!

You know, I found myself in a similar situation. I was laid off from a job I had had for 8 years and loved. I was fat and depressed and my husband was, for some reason, horrible to me. My relationship with my extended family got worse so I felt silly and irrelevant. I was in a really dark place. I was angry every day. Then…

After 8 years with a company, last April I was laid off from a job I absolutely LOVED. I knew finding a new job was going to be difficult and I felt like a loser. I was 53, fat, out-of-shape, depressed and had made myself the victim in an increasingly toxic [extended] family situation that made me feel stupid, silly and…

I can comfortably cross my arms across my chest! Sometimes I do it just to feel my thinner upper arms. I smile. (I'm an inverted triangle and carried most all my extra weight in my upper body.) Also, I can reach *almost* my entire back to scratch it if I need to!

WOW! You look beautiful! What an accomplishment.... Congratulations!

You are awesome!!! Your wonderful positive attitude is as inspiring as your scale & NSVs! Congratulations!

I am 5'6", 54 years old. 50 lbs lost in 7 months. I workout with kettlebells exclusively.

After years of losing weight and gaining it back and losing and gaining, when I found this app knew it would be the key to my weight-loss efforts.I have lost almost 50 pounds and am completely confident that I can keep them off this time. The single most helpful nugget of truth that I have learned from the community here:…

My Mom got me some gorgeous pearl (stud) earrings for Christmas. I never wear studs cause I've never been able to see them, looking straight-on on the mirror. Since my face isn't round anymore after 50 lb loss, I can REALLY see my earrings now !!! Studs aren't too little anymore!

**THIS!!^^^** No way could I stay committed without planning, prepping and pre-logging. I also make it less stressful because I like basically the same thing for breakfast and lunch every single day <-- no brainer! Then we put alot of effort into delicious healthful dinners. And of course the Snickers ice cream bar every…

I ate French Toast Casserole (with a couple pieces of Pepper Bacon!), homemade Beef Barley Stew, and unknown quantity of sugar cookies, Italian Creme Cake and M&Ms. For the first time in 8 months, I didn't log, weigh or measure. Christmas was AWESOME!! Oh and then there was a coupla glasses of great red wine with good…

I would say the biggest key to my success (CICO being the method!) is prep work. I'm really good (no actually, I LOVE) eating the same food every single day; for example, I've eaten my breakfast omlette almost every day for the last 10 years! And I have regular lunch choices. These require no thought, just prep work. I…

THIS!!! My NSV is that finally, after 30+ years of losing/gaining the same 50-60lbs, I am relaxed, confident and NOT STRESSED about managing my weight with this MFP tool. I NO LONGER NEED TO SUMMON ALL MY STRENGTH TO LAUNCH AN ATTACK ON FAT. *whew* This -50 lbs is gone forever and I couldn't be happier or healthier!!! (at…

I'm 54. I joined MFP the first week of May and set out to lose 2 lbs per week. I eat 1400 calories/day and 50-100 exercise calories back [if that]. Although I've worked out somewhat consistently through the years, I decided I'm not running another cardio step due to injuries. So I picked up the kettlebells 30 min day/6x…

I was walking across a parking lot today (wearing a skirt and sandals) and a very fit-looking lady walking behind me said "You must be a runner, your calves are so muscular... I mean REALLY DEFINED!!!" (I admit, I've heard this often. Weird huh?!). I just laughed and said "no, I'm not much of a runner but I'm loving my…
