I also want to say that I fluctuate 5lbs in a day sometimes...so the 9lbs may not be 9lbs of fat. Lots of things affect your daily weight. Just saying...

Ohhhhh, you wanted to be coddled and told that even though whatever you are doing isn't working that you should continue with it because that is your comfort zone and eventually it will work. Got it. I am tempted to write out something about repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again seeking a different…

First of all you ARE beautiful the way you are...it's just not healthy the way you are. Baby steps are good...but simply signing up for a gym obviously doesn't do anything and I wouldn't even consider that a baby step. You have to actually go (or do anything physically challenging, it doesn't have to be at the gym) to…

I am not here to encourage or discourage, just simply stating my opinion since the OP asked a public forum that all MFP users can reply to. My opinion is that she is intentionally or unintentionally inaccurate with her calorie in/calorie out calculations...an opinion which is further solidified by the fact that she prefers…

You are right, you don't need to prove anything to us...but you came to a public forum asking for suggestions. Without all the information we can only speculate on what is holding you back from the progress you are expecting. As we have nothing to base it on we can only guess at what the problem is. As you don't feel the…

I agree. No one was lecturing...they are simply loudly stating that what you said was completely wrong and making sure the OP didn't use that information to guide her. I also would love to have a peek at the OP's food / exercise diary. I suspect there is either little or nothing in there.

Quote from Legally Blonde (2001) "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands." - Elle Woods. This seemed like an appropriate place for this quote, lol.

Hopefully someone with either expertise or experience answers this...but for now you are stuck with my opinion. My opinion is it is one of two things...1. low blood sugar. 2. It is not related to the exercise at all and is some other trigger in your life. You mention you have a "big deadline" at work so that could be it.

HawleyGriffin: Yay!!! in_it_to_thin_it: Hell yes, you are hot! lol

Not yet, but I love a little mystery ;)

"Skinny" does not always equal healthy btw. Sorry to "be like that" but your sentence has some red flags for me. Define curvy..because I feel curvy but my curves are different than other people's curves.

I am loving all the great (researched) info in here...it is very refreshing to see a fairly civil discussion on actual FACTS! Thank you! :)

Weight training will not make you big and bulky. I have so many issues with people thinking that...but I understand, because I used to be one too. Doing cardio exclusively is setting you up for disappointment btw. Have you heard of the term "skinny fat"? It is when you are at your desired weight and size (in clothing) yet…

I agree with this also. Bodybuilding requires a LOT of patience so trust the process and learn to find the small victories to stay motivated.

Yes!!! ;)

Bigherm: Love the tat! Blond: Such a beauty!

I take 1-2 per week. When you train hard they are essential! Please incorporate some into your routine.

Yes, this is me as well. My family doesn't understand my need to be at the gym, stating "but you're already in shape, why do you keep going still?"...ummmm, that's WHY I am in shape! I just change the subject because it isn't worth the frustration.

Is that you in the profile pic? If so, I am confused...
-
I love what the above posters said! I am sure you are correct and no one is even paying attention, they are too busy worrying about themselves. The only thing I notice at the gym is if someone is exceptionally loud or it they are doing the lat pulldown with bad form. Thats about it. Put your music on (something hardcore -…

Villain for sure!

So happy!

I am making a lot of assumptions....but did you do any weight/strength training during your weight loss? My guess is no....so you need to work on building muscle and lowering body fat and you will likely achieve the body that you are/have been envisioning.
-
I wasn't replying to your post....I was questioning whether I could post what the last thing in MY mouth was. Sorry for the confusion ;)

Can we post that here???

Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard. I can't do it without Rob in my ears!
