Welcome!

Congrats! Wish I was down 66% of my goal!

I burn calories like crazy doing circuits. Lighter weights, 6-8 exercises no rest between exercises, but rest between sets. Keep changing out the exercises so you're body cant get too efficient at a specific lift. I add cardio as well to my routine. Elliptical in my case.

Have you had your blood pressure checked? If you have low BP that can cause very similar symptoms.

You are what you eat, and muscle is protein. So obviously the easy sources of protein are not readily available to you. You're probably going to have to resort to protein powders, shakes, etc. There are vegetarian options with these. But if your Vegan it can be very expensive. The 1 gram per pound of lean body mass is a…

Your diary is accessible here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/911lisa. Looks like you have a password on it. You can change its settings in "settings" -> "diary"

Congrats on the great start!

Go over to bodybuilding.com and search around at the various programs that are on there. Kris Gethin's program seems pretty popular.

Congratulations on your progress! Don't forget to celebrate how far you've come! Plateau's suck, I've managed to bust a few on my way down, but they've only lasted a few weeks. Months long ones must be super frustrating. Whats worked for me is varying my workout routines and the makeup of my diet. After being stuck for 2…

A lot really depends on where you are at fitness wise. I use bodybuilding.com for weight lifting routines. But if your a real beginner and are not in fair shape yet their "beginner" routines are not beginner!

Sorry Fabian!

Congrats on the new outlook on life. MFP is a great tool to help you adjust how you look at food. I'm on a journey to a new me as well, just maybe a little ways down the tracks. I'm down over 30 lbs so far, but still have 40 to go.

LOL.. no. Actually live in a town just south of the city. In a duplex. Moved here a few years ago, no way to afford a house!

There are $50-60 scales that tell you your body fat %, there are also ways to measure it with pinch tests. If you have a reasonable health plan you can get it done as part of a physical. What I was really trying to say is that don't focus too much on that number, focus on how you feel and look. You say you do a lot of…

I'm over the hill in Burlingame! Welcome aboard! I'm about 50% done on my journey... well weight wise, but I figure it will take 3x longer to lose the next 50%. Send me a friend request if you like.

125 is at the lower range of healthy Body Mass Index for someone that is 5'5". 144 is more in the upper range of healthy. Have you had your body fat % checked? If you have a higher muscle mass and bone density (you lift so its very possible), you could be very unhealthy at 125, or need to lose muscle, not fat. Are you…

15lbs in 8 weeks. Doable, but not easy ;-) If you've recently gained the weight it will be easier than if you've had it for years. You'll need a really good exercise routine to make that. One with a lot of cardio to keep your heart rate up. Set your MFP plan to 2lbs a week loss. Then get your walking shoes on. Good Luck!…

No... and yes! Its not really that simple. Some days it wont be bad, some days it will ;-) If you don't eat enough your body may decide its being starved and needs to go into emergency measures to lower your metabolism. You'll be super tired, think slower and generally not feel well. Thins can happen after only a few days…

Congrats on your progress, and your back on track now! I tried weight watchers many years ago. Once I left the program I realized I was not armed with how to live my life "not on a diet". That's one of the great things about MFP, it trains your eye to see what a reasonable amount of food is. You learn that you cant have a…

When I started my biggest challenge was that I was not in good enough shape to really do a lot of the beginner exercises. I'd read things like "Run for 5 minutes" which sounds easy, but if you haven't ran for 20 years... well its freaking hard. So basically I said, hey anything is better than nothing. Rather than running…

Welcome aboard! Yes MFP is a great tool to get you to where you want to go! I've been using it for 6 months and am almost at my 50% goal!
-
I've named my 40's as the "Decade of Awesome!", and with it now approaching its end it truly has been one. Friend request sent.

6am starts! Yikes... but hey its great that you have day one under your belt! I'm sure its a sore rest of the day... but I bet that you will be happy by the end of the week with the progress you'll see. The great thing about MFP is that it really trains you to see what you eat. Pretty soon you'll know whats normal and ok,…

Sounds like you know what you want and are working hard to get there! I hate Plateaus too! I googled weight loss plateaus and found an article on the Mayo web site that basically said: Maybe you should just be happy where you are and adjust your goals. Really?!?! To heck with that! Sure maybe if my clothes were an L and I…

MFP has been a huge part of the success I've had. I'm only 50% done but the daily routine to teach myself what a reasonable portion looks like, by entering the food in your diary, has taught me to re-look at what I eat. You can do it! Feel free to add me as a friend.
-
Welcome aboard! I'm on a 40kg journey myself, but I'm almost half way there! MFP plus an activity tracker (Fitbit, Microsoft Band, etc.) have really been part of my recipe for success! Feel free to add me.

Congrats on the first week of the rest of your life! Feel free to add me.

Howdy! Add me!
