I've always felt my best around 160 even though it is still considered overweight for my height.

Hi, I'm a SAHM to a toddler. Would love to have other SAHM friends (and others).

I'm aiming for 30 by June and 10 more by September. Add me if you'd like.

My Dr. recommended using cast iron skillets. I also own one of these: http://www.luckyironfish.com . I haven't been very good at using either, but I hear they are great ways to improve iron levels.

My joints are painful. Crushing the excuse with the elliptical, water aerobics and modified diet.

Try really hard not to have one of hubby's beers in the fridge.

It's really only in the lower left cheek - deep inside. It hurts worse when I sit or lie down. Today it is pretty much gone, but I took an ibuprofen this morning for other aches (I've been doing upper body during recovery). Today I did very mild elliptical for 15 then 10 minutes. So far so good. I foam rolled before and…

Thanks to all for the information and support. I resumed the elliptical for 15 minutes today and did foam rolling plus stretches. So far so good. I will call the Dr., as well.

Thanks everyone. To those who have recovered, were you able to do cardio during and/or after recovery? Thanks
-
Joleneee421: Sorry to hear of your struggle. Were you able to do any cardio during that recovery time?
-
I'm using a pool noodle to foam roll it. It seems to help temporarily. Mostly I wish I could find a cardio exercise to do while I'm dealing with this.
-
Just wanted to say thanks to you both. My hip is flaring up and I was able to do chair cardio today!

I'm a sahm to a 2-year-old. After a year or so of struggle I'm finally able to focus on weight loss. You can add me.

Thanks everyone. I'm logging every day, exercising most and starting to see results. Saw 197 today.

Thanks everyone. I ended up cranking down the resistance on the elliptical a couple of notches and going at a slow pace for 25 minutes. My hip feels better after! I do need to mix it up, though.

No, but healing your gut and making sure you are getting the proper nutrients is important. It's not just calories that matter. Personally, I take D3, magnesium citrate, zinc, a quality probiotic and garlic.

Struggling with this. Since trying to lose again I haven't told anyone. Guess what? Boxes of chocolate, summer sausage, cheese, crackers and more have been flooding into the house. I enjoy the traditional things - like the See's chocolate my Dad sends every year (wouldn't be Christmas without). I appreciate the generosity.…

I'm with you! My SO is naturally thin. I gained a lot of weight with pregnancy and have developed bad emotional eating habits since having her. I was starting to lose over the summer, but stopped after a stressful vacation and a variety of toddler related set backs.

I had a baby at 39 and my mother died at 58. I want to be around as long as possible for my girl and put her on the path to a lifetime of health.

I went down this path yesterday when I lamented that my husband brought ice cream into the house when I had asked him not to. Ultimately, though, it is my responsibility to avoid the ice cream. It's harder knowing it's in the fridge when I'm stressed, but that is just the price of living with another person. It's also…

My daughter will be two in september. I had severe joint issues while breastfeeding, followed by breaking my ankle and a blood clot when she was 10 months. I then went back to work briefly for 4 months, now I'm a SAHM. It has been a roller coaster, but I'm back on the fitness bandwagon with about 30 lbs to lose. I'm…

Just turned 41. Had a baby at 39 and have struggled with weight and joint pain ever since. Jogging was my weight cure-all in the past, but I'm unable to do it anymore. In addition to the calorie in/calorie out route I am exploring hormonal balance.

I'm in the same boat, except my lo is 20 months now. I'm 30lbs heavier than pre-preganancy. I broke my ankle and had a blood clot when she was 10 months old which stalled a lot of weight loss. I lucked into an elliptical machine, which is amazing. It's easy to use and pretty quiet during nap time and doesn't hurt my knees…
