I rarely eat white carbs. I completely cut out white rice and white bread. I don't eat a lot of bread, but only keep whole wheat in the house. We do brown rice instead of white rice, but eat more quinoa than rice. I rarely do potatoes, but when I do I'll usually choose sweet potatoes over white potatoes. As far as pasta…

I won't start taking a supplement before consulting with my doctor first. Another thing I thought I'd mention is that my husband went vegetarian with me and swear he feels better, has more energy, and has even dropped 10 lbs. we eat the same exact things, except he will still snack on sugary cereal, crappy potato chips,…

I haven't been logging religiously like I used to, and I need to get back to that because I'm not sure exactly what my deficit is. I've been maintaining my weight/gaining a few here and there and then dropping again so I don't think my deficit is enough lately really. I'm pretty heavy, I've lost 55 lbs (prior to going…

Thanks everyone, y'all were very helpful. I think I sent everyone a friend request, if I missed anyone feel free to add me. I'm going to be calling my doctor to get an appointment to do some blood work and I will be on the lookout for a good vitamin supplement. Thanks for all the great suggestions!

Thanks for the advice y'all. I do think I might add in fish/seafood again and see if it changes the way I feel so I know for sure its a protein thing. If not, I'll be headed to the doctor to get work-up done to see if they can figure it out.

I do not take any supplements, but do have a history of anemia. I guess I'll be making a visit to my doctor to get these things checked if things don't improve. I did do a yearly work up very recently and was shocked to find out that my cholesterol and triglycerides were really bad, considering I've reduced most dairy. I…

Thanks. I guess I just kinda fell of the wagon and got off course because I used to eat a lot of the things listed regularly. I have been trying to reduce my dairy intake because of my cholesterol. I do love greek yogurt and egg whites though. I snack on apples a lot and used to dip them in Greek yogurt with a little…

I eat a lot of fruit usually and I need to do snacking on more vegetables during the day. I've picked up a bad habit of snacking on sweets too much, I don't eat nuts everyday because of the high calories, but do on occasion. I know I'm definitely not getting enough protein. I just started back doing protein shakes, I snack…

I was excited to watch this show when I first saw the previews, I thought it would be interesting to see what diets really work the best. I was especially excited to see there was going to be a "vegan" PT, although the I'm not vegan and just recently went full fledge vegetarian, I thought it would be very interesting to…

I have over 100 pounds to lose, have lost -55 so far, and also have PCOS. I started off at 313 lbs, so we a lot in common. (26 years old and 5'4) Feel free to add me as a friend.

I like it, it does a better job at pretending to be rice than you'd think. I like to grate a head of cauliflower and then just cook it as I need it..I've used it to make faux "fried rice" and it was delicious!

I'm in the same boat. I'll be 26 this year and overall my goal is to lose 165 lbs. I started at my heaviest ever at 315 and have lost 29 pounds in a little less than 2 months. So I have 136 lbs to go!
