If you ate 2000 calories and burned 3000 calories, you would lose weight. If those calories were just cheeseburger, you'd lose weight, yes, but you'd be pretty starved nutritionally.

HAES tells children who are obese - not overweight, obese - that they are perfectly fine, that there are no health problems they can possibly get for being obese. That is not alright.

Up at Zone 6 here.

Increase of 1 stone? Good goal, and most people bulk for at least 6 months.
-
I'm not saying either is right, but simply having posted here many times does not guarantee that the information anyone posts is correct.
-
Do a long bulk, then cut some of the fat. You'll lose some muscle, yes, but you bulked up enough that you still finish with a significant increase in muscle.
-
What's your goal?

Home. I do bodyweight (dips, pull-ups, press-ups, etc) so don't really need a gym.
-
Aren't you putting on muscle? If you're losing fat, that's the only explanation - except water weight. If you fluctuate in the range of a few pounds, it's water weight most likely.
-
Ah, I know that by IIFYM. I've been doing it for about six months now.

What do you mean specifically by 'tone'?

Go to a profile and click the big green button marked 'Add As Friend'.

IFYM?

Used this a while back to go from underweight to healthy weight, now looking to put on another stone, but I had no idea these forums even existed.

You just click on the person's username, which takes you to their profile, and there's a large green button which says 'Add As Friend'.

50 pounds in 6 months is 8.3 recurring a month, which is over 2 pounds a week. I'm not an expert on weight loss, but I would suggest taking it a little more slowly to avoid harm.
-
Being aware that if you eat too much you'll put on more fat than muscle is a good thing to know when you're bulking. You're perfectly on track, keep doing what you're doing.

Just ladies?

I've been using it for a while, stopped being underweight, but I still have a ways to go yet.

I'm from the UK. I'm in the South, how about you?
