  • Not hot at all, only a high of 85 today in Philly! But it's been hot every other day this month and looks like it will be again shortly. TOO MUCH SWEATING.

  • If you're tempted to cheat or lose interest in your spouse the minute someone hotter comes along, you're really going to struggle to find long-term happiness. I understand that attraction can change over the years or maybe other things change, but I would hope/imagine that your marriage is built on more than just hotness.…
  • I try to (and usually do) get at least 80 grams per day but ideally 90-100. It's rarely much higher than that. In a perfect world I would like to eat more protein because it keeps me full longer, but the foods I tend to enjoy eating the most don't often get me beyond 100 grams.
  • I think everyone is different and it's hard to know exactly what someone else is experiencing. I will say that while I prefer to continue exercising regularly because I know it is good for me and I generally feel good after finishing a workout, sometimes I find myself moody or annoyed about the fact that I have to work out…
  • Sounds like some of these might not be available where you are, but my favorites are: hard boiled eggs greek yogurt almonds oatmeal (single packs) turkey pepperoni slices string cheese Goldfish crackers deli meat small square of chocolate
  • I think you've really already figured out some great motivation. Just recognizing how losing weight more quickly in the past was not as conducive to keeping it off is a really helpful mindset, and also focusing on things other than just the scale. It helps to remember that time will pass no matter what you're doing with…
  • I like instant grits with mix-ins like cheese, turkey sausage crumbles, and scrambled egg whites. Smoothies are always good, and a good way to sneak in some fruit if you don't want to eat it plain. French toast.. really quick and easy to make Frozen waffles with various toppings
  • beer milk eggs and egg whites shredded cheddar and mozzarella plain Greek yogurt baby spinach apples cream cheese string cheese
  • Does anyone know how to manually reset the streak counter? Not that it really matters but I've had a couple days where I didn't log but my app must have been logged in because it still counted it.
  • I feel like this is not actually a real thread.
  • I don't really notice a correlation between drinking it and eating more. It makes me feel kind of sluggish and bloated sometimes so I probably tend to eat better when I'm drinking less of it just because I usually have more of it when I'm being less healthy in general.
  • I wore pretty much only Nike for years but switched to Brooks recently when I felt like my last Nikes weren't that comfortable anymore, and LOVE them.
  • Where in the world are you getting "only 4%" of women may develop an eating disorder in their lifetime? Do you not remember college? I'm pretty sure I have known WAY more women that have struggled with some sort of disordered eating than those that have not. You don't need to be throwing up 8 times a day to have an ED.
  • I think it will be good for you both physically and mentally. Breaks will happen, whether because of injuries, vacations, or just wanting a break now and then. I think having 2 weeks off and realizing the world doesn't come crashing down and you can get back into it will help you feel better overall, and will help your…
  • Like woahbitch, it's a Burberry not a Birkin, get over yourself.
  • Same as @keladelphia, I use it as a secondary gym option closer to my apartment. It actually has more cardio equipment than my primary gym but I like classes and some of the other options at my other gym. For the price, it's worth it even if I only get there a few times a month.
  • I personally would eat much less healthily if I didn't eat meat. Most of the meat I eat is lean (chicken breast, ground turkey, pork tenderloin, etc.) and the protein fills me up. If I didn't eat meat I imagine I'd eat a crapton of carbs and end up ingesting a lot more calories overall.
  • I love coffee and drink 2 cups every morning but try to avoid it too close to going to the gym (except on days I work out in the mornings, of course). I'm by no means against caffeine but don't like it to fuel my workouts and I feel like I start to get reliant on it for exercise. Maybe I'm in the minority on this but I…
  • I used to but it never really helped me in any long-term way, and eventually I found it discouraging. I also don't like the idea of actively trying to lose weight quickly. I'm not really a big goal-setter in general but when I do it's more like going to the gym x times per week or eating at home y times per week, etc.
  • Taxes are a necessary evil and they're used for a lot of important things. A junk food tax isn't banning junk food and generally not making it prohibitively expensive, just slightly more. I have no problem with that for soda, alcohol, Doritos, cigarettes, etc. and several of those are things I love.
  • Yes. Visible panty lines need to be stopped.
  • I listened to this last week and really loved it, though the timing for it was bad- I had a thigh lift a few weeks ago and hearing Elna Baker's description of her thigh incision ripping open made me insanely paranoid! It was interesting to hear several different perspectives. I enjoyed hearing Lindy's thoughts on this and…
  • I mean honestly though what is the point of living to be 100 years old if you don't ever enjoy anything in life? No beer, no junk food, no caffeine... I'm certainly not saying these are the only good things in life or that people should eat them all the time but give me a break. You really expect people to never eat or…
  • Philly recently passed a soda tax on soda (diet and regular) and other sugary or artificially sweetened drinks. I was down with it because most of the money will go towards pre-K for city kids. Ultimately it's not going to stop people from drinking it but taxes are a necessary evil. I'd rather they be increased on stuff…
  • It's been a minute since I've weighed myself several days in a row but I think it was generally 1-3 pounds up or down within a given week. If you're feeling frustrated by it, I'd suggest trying to weigh yourself less frequently.
  • BK is low on the list of desirably fast food places in my book but these look amazing. I love mac and cheese and I love Cheetos and I appreciate BK for making this a reality. :)
  • I weigh and measure very little but I've also been doing this long enough to feel like my estimations are close enough. I weighed things more often early on although I've always personally preferred eyeballing... as long as I'm honest and don't try to cheat myself I find that's enough to get results.
  • It's not that simple, and that places eating or overeating in a way more important category than it deserves. It's going to happen whether or not you tell yourself it'll never happen. I think it's more important to get over it and not give it more weight than something so trivial deserves. It's food, not kiddieporn.
  • I can't I dislike pictures of kids AND gym check-in posts equally?
  • In the scheme of things, eating (or overeating or indulging or whatever else) is not even in the top 100 shameful things people can do. You didn't kill someone or hurt someone's feelings or steal or run over a dog. It's just food. I know that sounds silly but really in the scheme of life, what you eat - especially in a…
