Thanks guys I'm doing 5x5 stronglifts just now I do this 3x a week and two other days a week I do 30/40 mins cardio HIIT running and stepper does this sound okay for a beginner? Do you have to be lifting for so long before bulking? I am in two minds wether to bulk or maintain I'm 122lbs and 22.7% bf but not 100% sure as I checked myself with calipers. I'm not 100% sure and there are people On here who can certainly give you the correct answers but as far as I'm aware I think if you use TDEE you don't need to eat exercise calories back but if you use MFP you need to and I'm sure you just slowly up your calories say by 100 and just keep an eye on your weight I'm going up…

Or isolation not something to bother about just now? I do stronglifts 3x a week and on the other two days I do isolation work on maybe back and biceps and chest and tri's then the following week maybe kettlebell workout and cardio (I do cardio after 5x5 days too just a 20 min run)

Thanks guys. When do you think isolation programmes should come into play? A few people have said to focus on strength programmes first for a while. Also do yous know of any isolation workouts good for a beginner? :)

Thank you yeah I do like my carbs but eat way more PB and nuts and avocado etc than carbs. I do have bread most days and sweet potatoes but not enough to fill my carb goal up

I hit my calorie goal no problem at all but I'm always over a little on fat I hit my Protein goal every day I make sure I do especially because I lift weights 5 days a week but I'm not always high on carbs. I do get carbs but my fat is always over the macro goal so I wanted adjust it since I eat more of that than carbs

I'm gonna do the same thing it is pretty frustrating isn't it. To me I'm simply skinny fat and that's it lol I think recomp will be a good idea :)

That's why I said I used calipers why aren't 100% accurate especially checking yourself when I check I'm 22.7% but then I could be doing it completely wrong

So for me that would be about 42grams of fat well I'm eating at 47grams so pretty close I would say :) No I won't cut my programme why change something that isn't broken and I'm doing well and gaining strength so it's working I will have a look at the link thanks :)

Aye and got numerous answers so if some are saying keep cutting some are saying bulk some are saying maintain some say eat above maintenace some say eat just below maintenace is it a wonder why I've asked the same question numerous times?
