I'm exactly the same! If I wake up after 7:30 in the morning, I'm tired all day. Never understood why exactly so I've wrote it down as - I'm a morning person. I see others have mentioned possible thyroid problems, I'd like to mentioned that vitamin B complex might help you further with your problem. You can get tested…

Congrats! I'd say you have a pretty sweet problem to worry about :) I agree with the above about gauging it according to what your body says and how you feel. I set myself the goal weight but I don't mind it being a couple of kilos up or down depending on how I look to myself and what I feel comfortable with.

Great job! :)

With a risk of sounding harsh (and I don't want to) - you're right, nothing will change if you give up now. Then you'll try and start again in a couple of months :) A while back I read something on this forum that is still stuck in my mind "Three months from now you'll wish you started today" (sorry, I have no idea who the…

Also after about 5 kilos. But it happened in one of those weird ways - I myself didn't notice anything the day before and the next day I thought that my shirt falls down differently. And on that exact day people (mainly close friends who know I'm dieting) started saying it's noticable that I've lost some weight. It was…

No need to force yourself into doing something that doesn't really appeal to you. You can try and find an activity that "clicks" right into your lifestyle :)

I don't think I would even recognize you :) awesome!

That's ridiculous! Don't let this jerk affect your goals and your determination. That's the only thing you should care about :) Not being able to keep up is a normal thing that happens when you start something new and the whole point is gradually building your abilities and skills up, learning the moves and what not. The…

Since you know you have these phases when it's so difficult to stay on track, do your best to overcome them with whatever tricks help you. For me, it's reading and looking at the success photos and reflecting on why I started it all and how many times I have already "failed" by giving in when it was hard. But if this…

I guess we should plan our meals according to the concept of how much money we spend on each grocery. It's funny how everything is always seen through the monetary analogy. No our body doesn't care about calories and doesn't "count them" since the concept of calories is a socially agreed upon concept through which we…

I definitely don't feel less happy when losing weight but I can relate for a different reason. I have a lot of food intolerances (like, a lot, whole food groups) and I have to avoid foods or eliminate them completely. After a few years of being on elimination diet I realized I don't really miss bread or yoghurt or…

Thank you for your replies and advice! I found them very useful. Like both of you have pointed out, it's a thing of perspective and a frame of mind. I keep seeing it as "yet another thing I want to do" instead of "i want to do it".

Greetings! My name is Marija (pronounced like Maria) and my superpower is dough making and gardening lately. I'm shy and awkward. I enjoy all things nerdy, from Harry Potter and Battlestar Galactica to Fallout and Star Trek to Watchmen and time travel. And universe, lots and lots of universe and aliens. I even managed to…

So, yesterday I used up my calorie allotment at 2pm. Had lunch around 12 and was still hungry so ate 3 cheese filled pancakes. I sort of resigned that I will just have to go over my calories but that it's ok because it hasn't happened for weeks. Well.. the rest of the day I was just thirsty all the time and couldn't think…

For me, quitting smoking made me want to do something.. I often recognized that as being hungry so I ate, but ofcz it wouldn't be satisfying so I would eat more. What I really wanted was nicotine so nothing you can do can satisfy that craving. So you might as well not do anything, be strong and wait it out, because it does…

You sound very rational and your plan to lose weight and exercise sounds very down to earth so I think you should just continue what you're doing. And regarding your friend.. well, I can relate (not regarding weight loss tho) and it's a tough one. What I've realized the best thing to do (from my experience) is to explain…

Congrats! "I am so much, stronger, happier and healthier than I have been before." That's what it's all about

A lot of people get systemic candida, not just AIDS patients. I followed it for 6+ months, the strictest version there is and I did manage to get rid of it. But I don't recommend it to anyone for weightloss, only for candida related problems. Creams and/or oral antifunglas will not help on their own if we are talking about…

I have a wheat allergy as well and I'm ok with spelt products. It tastes exactly like wheat, and spelt flour acts like wheat flour so you can make bread etc. As far as recipes go, I make everything I used to make, just wheatless :D But, if you do decide to try it, please try smaller quantities first, just in case it…

I have a few which I'm very happy about. Several friends told me I've lost a lot of weight (even though I didn't lose a lot at all). I've been exercising for eight full weeks, which is amazing. My resting heart rate is down to 50ish. It always used to be around 80ish. Yesterday was two months without cigarettes. And the…

Don't give up. I'm not sure what will motivate you but spend a day reading success stories or looking at before/after pics.. Try to remember what made you want to lose weight. Think that in two months time you will be very sorry you gave up when you could have just continued and would have -4 or -8 or-12 pounds or whatever…

When I lost a lot of weight back in high school (25ish kilos), I still kept seeing myself as big. When I looked at my thighs, they were the same as before I lost the weight. My tummy also seemed the same. In reality, of course, they were not. My view of myself got "corrected" with a little bit of time. You've spent a lot…

Very well done! :D

If I could afford it, I would love to take diving lessons and do some proper diving. I would like to try climbing, something that is way out of reach at the moment. I would like to look in the mirror and finally see the body that I wanted to have all my life. And this would be the best of all, I hope that my success might…
