If you fell of the wagon that means that you had been on a wagon for some time. So you can do it. The problem is the start of it as it seems to create a lot of pressure for you to do that first Monday perfectly. Why not try just monitoring what you eat and how much and put it in the app, just that for a week. Observe and…

Same here. Not able to save recipes on the app or desktop for a few days now. Tried reinstalling the app but no luck.

My partner does a lot. She weighs and writes everything down when she cooks, she knows what foods are problematic calorie-wise, for example how much oil to put in a meal without it going over the top. She's encouraging of my exercising and proud of me for being consistent. Her help and attitude certainly make things easier…

Your success is very inspiring! Awesome job! 💪

I'm putting myself in your shoes and I would probably not go but we would do the next best thing that doesn't involve as much fitness. I would also definitely talk to my partner about how I feel and would try to postpone the hike by a couple of months or by spring, make getting into shape like a sort of a goal for the both…

You health is the most important thing and you should be proud for taking the steps to ensure good health, especially when it's a difficult thing for you to do. What your doctor MAYBE MIGHT think doesn't really matter. You seem embarrassed about regaining and I can really understand that but at the end of the day, it's ok…

I take magnesium citrate for anxiety and leg cramps, and I used to get magnesium threonate which was also beneficial for memory recall. It made a huge difference and I'm a pretty regular "user".

Calorie counting "diet" meant eating 700 calories a day. This went on my entire childhood. :s

Can't say I had indigestion but I definitely had to relearn what works and what doesn't. What I learnt when I started dieting is that when I eat fruit in the morning I get dizzy after a couple of hours (before lunch). I avoid that now. If you are introducing these kind of changes, something that you don't usually eat or do…

Thank you for taking the time to explain the effects of different exercise intensities! It is very helpful to be aware of this, both for weight loss and in general.

I started again on July 27. I plan a year of weight loss and of instilling healthy habits overall. I'm also looking for active buddies :)

As far as I know, obesity is indeed linked with development of more difficult symptoms. I sometimes worry about it too. But "is linked" does not equal "it happens to all obese people". There is a higher risk than being average weight but obesity is not the only factor playing a role here. You may also contract the virus…

Hi Lucie, welcome! I'm also not big on breakfast and don't like to eat a lot in the evening so I can say I'm (naturally/habitually) doing intermittent fasting as well. It's great when it suits your lifestyle. Just don't forget that the main thing with losing weight is that you create a calorie deficit. It doesn't really…

I have to agree regarding magnesium from personal experience. I suffered long, long recovery times and muscle aches regardless of protein intake which stopped after taking magnesium. If you cross other possible culprits off the list, try introducing these minerals and see how it goes.

Feel free to add me if you'd like :) I'm in a pretty similar situation and looking for a more permanent change in habits and lifestyle. And we can deffo do it!

You look wonderful and very stylish! Great job!

Hi and welcome to mfp :)

Well, I've had 160 twice. The first time through diet and exercise and I felt great, although I think that 145 would have suited me better. I gained weight after getting to 160 so I don't know what 145 would have felt like. The second time I got to 160 wasn't not intentionally, and it happened somewhat fast because of…

I'd like to join too if possible :)

I recommend rose hip. I think it's coming into season. It helped me with stopping smoking because my hands would be busy for hours on end trying to get each berry (is it called berry?) out and you munch on it constantly but you don't eat a lot.
