  • It seems like a step in the right direction. But I think it should be thought of as collective awareness raising and understanding of nutrition and exercise rather than just introducing restrictions upon restrictions.
  • It's mandated in closed space where I live but I wore it even when it wasn't mandated. I wear it in open spaces if its crowded. It makes sense to drop the possibility of infecting myself or others as much as possible. Even though there is no consensus on it, it's easy and non-invasive so I don't see the harm of wearing it…
  • Reading that obesity is one of the most pronounced factors in covid complications. My coworkers all take care of their diets and bodies, eat well and exercise. A hurtful comment by one of the coworkers. Feeling slow and sloth-like. Avoiding responsibilities. Drinking a lot. Snoring. Lots and lots of anxiety and fear of…
  • Hi! I'll add you although I don't post much on my feed :) I like your tik-tok wedding plan! Made me laugh so much :D Stay strong
  • Thank you!
  • Awesome about your blood sugar levels! Congrats! :)
  • Great job! Very inspiring!
  • Feel free to add me Kevin. Greetings from the Mediterranean :)
  • It sounds very tough.. but it's good to hear you're managing in everyday life. I've not had it as long as you and mine was brought on by stress and burnout. From my experience, and I know how it sounds, but magnesium citrate and vit b complex have helped greatly with getting relief for everyday anxiety. When I get panic…
  • Personal opinion: There is no such thing as a perfect human diet that makes you disease bulletproof because diet is not the only factor for diseases flaring up in some and not in others. Saying that grains are bad is ludacris becuase there are literally billions of people who have in the past or today based their diets on…
  • Awesome! Well done!
  • I've had problems with my lower back for years. Later on, I was diagnosed with vitamin b deficiency (b6&b12). The diagnosis was unrelated to my back but when I started taking vitamin b complex, the pain went away. I read somewhere it's connected with nerve endings or something like that and vit b help in some way (sorry…
  • Horror fiction podcast :D
  • It doesn't have to be. And I wish somebody told me that years ago because I was taught that "diet" = "breakfast: a slice of toast and one boiled egg". Which is fast, awful, unhealthy and unsustainable. I make it interesting by trying out new things like running and new recipes. And the most interesting is noticing how your…
  • I have to have the feeling of a full stomach. Most of the time that means whatever regular meal and then a large, large salad on the side. For me, it's not about the calories but the volume of the food. It works even when the salad is a kilo of lettuce and amounts to like 15 calories :)
  • I ran week 4 of C25K successfully. It's the one with 3 and 5 minute runs. My breathing was good. And I liked every second of it. B) B)
  • Homemade kefir (or yoghurt) with oats was my drug in the morning. I got casein intolerance now and can't have kefir anymore but I highly recommend it as a healthy breakfast! And if you go "omg, this tastes like sawdust" try adding some raisins or something similar 😁
  • I'm sorry but I had to laugh. I had a similar experience. My grandfather died last year and lots of people were coming to our house to offer condolences - to my family and me. So in my country it's customary to shake hands or kiss and say "my condolences" then like sit for half an hour, eat, drink and leave. That's all…
  • I don't want to sound pessimistic but it won't happen by itself. It sounds like your weight gain has had a psychological impact on how you see yourself and how you (maybe subconsciously) want to present yourself to others. I don't think it can just go away like it hasn't taken a toll on you. It obviously did. But that is…
  • That's awesome weight loss, congrats! Like some have already said, I too find this to be normal weight loss with me. Nothing for 2 and a half or 3 weeks and then I suddenly "lose" 2 or 2,5 kilos overnight. But still turns out as planned on a monthly average - about a kg per week. Cheers!
  • Teaching assistant at a university here & a PhD student. Trying to lose weight & write a sociology dissertation. Both going slow but steady
  • Thank you for sharing this.
  • What a change! :o Well done!
  • Congratulations on your weight loss! You may as well put your story in the Success story section rather than doubting yourself because of stupid advice about losing more faster and end up yo-yoing or going through a painful and stressful surgery.
  • I'm sorry for your loss and the situation you've found yourself in. I urge you to check with your GP about your vitamin B12 levels regarding memory loss. I was in a situation where I forgot my date of birth :/ it ended up being as simple as B12 deficiency, which is easily corrected and which is possible due to your stress…
  • Apart from everything above, you don't really see or feel the immediate effects of what you're doing to yourself when you mess with your diet like this. From personal experience, ending up with several mineral and vitamin deficiencies that erode your day-to-day functioning severly is not fun and takes a long time to…
  • @birgitkwood I agree with you regarding the importance of communication and thank you for your kind advice on how to actually start it! :)
  • When I started exercising more and daily, my weight went a bit up and stayed that way for two weeks. Then in one day it dropped over 2kg (around 5lbs) and continued to drop. If you're weighing your food and staying mostly around your deficit, it's water weight due to muscle repair. Try and ignore it, it'll come down. :)
  • How even after reading this whole thread and posts about relationships (so I was actually told about it) that I will not know how to go about this subject with my friend who also wants (and needs) to lose weight. Our thing was that we would have these sort of "plans" like what we would do if we won the lottery or let's not…
  • Talk to your husband about how you feel, see what he thinks and how he feels about it all since you say he also works a lot, plan what you can ahead (for yourself), plan together the things you can do together or how you can split the tasks. Because you are together in all of this, you should do the organizational aspect…
