No advice, but empathy. I definitely gained weight while breastfeeding - in spite of the million articles that say you'll lose weight. I was just hungry constantly. Maybe take it easy and wait until you wean?

What a great feeling!! Yay!
-
It is the most motivating part of MFP for me!

Wow, that's an awful lot of calories for some stinkin' goldfish! WTG on staying within your goal!
-
Nice work!!

It hasn't affected my appetite, but it has absolutely helped with smoking. I just don't crave it anymore. Miracle drug!!

I just get discouraged when I eat a cheeseburger and then realize I'm 3/4 to my calorie goal and the day isn't half over yet. You can eat more when you choose lower-cal items - I've found that I'm gravitating to them just so I can eat more.

I find it helpful to say, okay I'll just get on the bike for five minutes, and then I'm done. Once I do the five minutes, more often than not I'm motivated to stay on. But it helps get my butt on it in the first place.

I have been loving this DVD, and I think it's good for beginners: http://www.amazon.com/Denise-Austin-Quick-Burn-Cardio/dp/B0042AM390

This is why I wish MFP would show you the weekly cumulative calorie count, instead of day to day.

I eat there more times that I would like. Recently I discovered the grilled chicken sandwich (and I was always a QP or Big Mac girl). I find having the bun, and the condiments reminds me of a burger, and it scratches my McD itch. A small fries does it too.

5'5" and currently hovering around 162-167. Trying to get down to 150. HOWEVER, this weekend I went clothes shopping and found I dropped a pants size, from 12 to 10. That made my day. GO US! If I can do it, we all can!

Zaza, I was standing in my room in my underwear one day and my son told me I looked like a SUMO WRESTLER. Dang kids. Gave me motivation though!!

Ted - re: your boss... the kick in the butt I needed was when my 2 yo daughter mistook her (morbidly obese) caretaker at day care for me!! I don't want to be like that. Good luck!

Please add me ... was doing well with MFP but have been getting complacent lately...maybe this will give me a jolt!

Hi mama, I have 3 kids as well; the youngest is 2. I've lost 15 pounds so far with MFP and am SO pleased. Would like to lose another 15. Good luck to all! Send a friend request if you'd like!

I understand this. Though it sounds awful, I understand. I'm glad everything was okay.

This made me laugh! I've eaten baking chocolate before in a pinch. You know what - good for you for not keeping anything sweet in the house, though.

Me too :(

Hi twin ladies, 5'5", 180 lbs, divorced, 3 kids (8,6,2), need to lose 25-30 lbs!

Hi Madame, welcome! Mmm cheese fries and Oreos....no! Ha. I'm a mom too and just tired of being overweight, but motivation is also a factor. I do find that seeing other peoples' food diaries and exercise logs helps me stay motivated. And I'll do my best to talk you out of a "relapse". best of luck! Erin
