  • There are some awesome suggestions here. I will use some of them myself. Today we had a company meeting...with bagels. I got so mad at myself and my lack of willpower for having that bagel, that I started thinking my whole day was ruined, and maybe I should just start over tomorrow. Of course it isn't ruined! I usually…
  • HA! Eye of the Tiger
  • This is so simple, yet an incredibly powerful message. If I stop to think about what is causing me to binge, the feeling often does away. I want to print this out and hang it over my desk!
  • maggiemay530, tremroy 1, feel free to send me a message or fiend request so we may continue this in a positive environment, as I wont come back to this post. [Edited to mod]

  • My point is that this is a "motivation and support" page. Telling someone "It's called discipline - develop some", when they are already struggling, can in no way be construed as motivational OR supportive. Sorry.

  • Thanks Maggie - and FYI, I'm a she - names Mary. Don't put a picture up, mostly because right now I hate seeing pics of myself, AND it opens me up to comments from the bullies, like what happened up above...I try to be as positive as possible, not just for myself, but for others. Because I've been there. And so far it…

  • Don't be too hard on yourself, it only makes it worse. I know - I deal with it myself. Meds can play a big part in it too, so hopefully that will regulate and you can move on. Saw something recently that said "Treat each day as a clean slate"; my new philosophy. One day it will click.

  • I've been through them all, or at least a LOT. I have lost weight, regained weight, over and over. If I have learned anything at all, it's that NOTHING will ever beat healthy, moderate portions, and EXERCISE. Fad diets only come back to bite you...
  • tremroy1 - hang in there. It's a constant struggle. It's not that you "don't want it bad enough", I am sure you do. but those of us that deal with other issues as well know that there are a lot of factors that can "sabotage" our efforts. It's a vicious circle. It will all fall into place at some point, and when it does,…

  • Yes! I can see it in the middle - and that's great!

  • Don't beat yourself up over it - we've all done it :)
  • Weight Watchers breakfast quesadilla. Not bad, but small...and coffee :)
  • Along the lines of tacos - I can do a mean fish taco with two small fish fillets, two corn tortillas, lots of shredded cabbage or lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro, and make a sauce with l/f sour cream and hot sauce...all for about 300 calories, and they're super-filling! Great - it's 6:45am, and now I want it!
  • TOTALLY agree with the above post! I try to divert my attention to something else, and if I still can't get it off my mind, then I have it - in moderation. I like to buy 100-calories bags of snacks; it keeps me from over-indulging. Mini bags of microwave popcorn, cheese crackers, nuts, etc....my newest obsession is raw…

  • Multi-Grain Cheerios, 1% milk, and blueberries.
  • Major life changes can wreak havoc on the diet, unfortunately, and it always seems to fall to the bottom of the priority list. But you've recognized that, which is the biggest hurdle! Sounds like you are very committed this time, as I hope we all are, so we are in this together! Feel free to add...
  • Hello - this is my first post, so here goes... Just for today (Thursday 5/28) 1. Eat only what I planned for and brought to work - no extra picking. 2. Increase my water intake (this is a tough one for me) 3. Go home and exercise right away before I get too tired (today will probably be cycling) 4. Plan tomorrow's meals so…
  • Sure - everything in moderation :) I like to use bacon to perk up an otherwise boring salad..
