Drink water if you're feeling hungry first, it will reduce a lot of that need. I recently found chocolate almond milk and it's only 100 calories a cup and is very filling. You can make roast carrots or roast broccoli with a little bit of oil for very few calories and it's extremely filling.

Sure, why not? We could ride bikes together.

Put on some music and forget about the world. Who cares what they think? You're doing this for you! "I feel like i run like a hippopotamus" Let me stop you there. If you're running like a hippopotamus, you are already a god-tier runner. Hippopotamus are typically around 3,500 pounds. If you are 3,500 pounds and you still…

Outgoing to a fault.

There's an anti-diet pop health-nut cult that likes to kick up every time aspartame is mentioned but all studies have shown it to be harmless with no risk at all. I never count mustard or diet pop or spices or my chewable vitamin c tablet.

Assuming that's a before/after pic, he's extremely driven.

Glad it's not just me here!

Very important! I want to get in shape and stay that way.

Yeah, I feel like losing 4 pounds is a much more reasonable, attainable goal.

I drink Bigelow cinnamon stick tea. I don't brew it forever so it doesn't taste like drain water. I think it's rather great and I'm not a huge tea drinker!

Sorry if I'm intruding here, but that would mean you're losing 5 pounds a week, right? How much do you intend on eating to sustain that? That doesn't seem terribly safe to me, even if you go with 10 instead of 15. It's rather excessive for someone so small already. Even eating a base of 1200 won't lose you 3 pounds a week,…

Glad you're recovering nicely! I wish you the best of luck with your journey.

Good on you for doing it anyway, it looks like you've made amazing progress so far judging by your ticker. Thanks for the well-wishes!

For me it's being unhealthy. Thought I could eat whatever I wanted until well into my 30's and I was wrong.

Yes, you're at a size where the moobs will tighten up and disappear. Best of luck!

I've been drinking black tea with success. It replaces pop for me nicely and isn't as strong as coffee. Stopping soda cut probably a 1/4 of my calories off, it was ridiculous. I've actually stopped drinking mixed drinks and beer almost completely, the only way I drink now is by shooting straight vodka but even then it's…

Confession: I ate a 1400 calorie sub yesterday, loaded with bacon. It was delicious, and it wasn't on my cheat day. Also, I'm still treating subway as "healthy"

More veggies is always a good goal! Have you checked out the couch to 5k running program? http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml The program is really just a bunch of times that tell you how long to run and how long to walk but I've had a lot of success with it.

It's really awful when all of your friends want to go and eat fast food and you're tagging along. It makes it incredibly hard to resist joining them in eating it. I admit I've gone over calories for this reason a couple times so I feel you there.

Welcome back again! It's never too late to take up fitness, we're glad to have you! I noticed that you mentioned diabetes on your profile. My mother is also type 2 diabetic and so was my grandmother. I'm pre-diabetic and doing everything to circumvent that. I'm not the only one fighting the good fight against genetics it…

Good luck Adoraleenoon! This is a great start.

Second that, SoDamnHungry. Starving has been shown to actually make people gain all their weight back and more when they start eating again because your body is so depleted that it stores everything as fat. I'd also avoid crappy diets like juice diets, which are full of sugar and not much else.

-30 for 130 pounds by January 2016, please! Hell yes it's important.

Welcome, Amy! Good luck with your goals! I'm 15-ish days logged so far, and have already seen some progress. Just stick to it!
