I am a die hard night owl and have to work to get to sleep at a reasonable hour even when I'm exhausted. Most nights I turn to guided meditations- loads of them available with amazon prime. They zonk me out in the first few minutes. I don't even know what half of them say for the rest of the recordings 😂😂 that route may or…

Age: 40 Height: 5'7" SW: 185 GW: 135 Day/Weight/Comment 6/28....179....got a new scale today and my fears were correct. The old one was broken and super inaccurate. So bummed. 6/29...179....trudging along. Staying on track with the tracking but didn't meet my step goal for the day. Was on the road most of it.…

My plan was to do a walk/job this morning but I ended up burning more calories in a shorter amount of time shooting hoops with the mini beast! Kind of blew my mind.... but then again, I DO jog crazy slow. 😂😂

Been dodging invitations so the husbeast, the mini beast, and I can have a chill day all to ourselves. Hoping we get some rain soon - high fire danger so local fireworks might be called off.

I feel ya!!!!! I'm a month in and the only decrease in my numbers was my bust size- dropped an inch. So not cool. The idea of working hard with a pear shaped body as the reward is not enticing. I'm hoping that I've been building muscle while losing a little fat. Muscles are sore. I feel better at my core, but it's still…

I'm glad you posted this. I was thinking about switching over from an iPhone but wasn't sure if my favorite apps would still be accessible

Buahahahaha! Right on, @Sp1tfire !!!! Gotta get me some of that radness...

😂😂😂Oh no!!!!! Well, graceful or not, it sounds hardcore!

Fat person here, but really glad you posted he question. I do a lot of walking right now but working back toward jogging/running. Is 30 min three days a week good enough for a chunky monkey like me or would I have to step it up to daily? I've got between 30 and 40 lbs to drop.

Heeehee! Anything "parkour" brings an image to mind of the guys from The Office flopping around everywhere yelling "HARD CORE PARKOUR!!!" 😂😂😂

Heehee! @Goober1142 -you've got to know when hold em. Know when to fold em. Know when to walk away. Know when to run... 😂 Sorry. Couldn't help myself, there.

@aimeetu that made me giggle-snort Some of us old folks have a weird notion that young people are always going without food. My family seems to get together around eating so I've been avoiding family get togethers as much as possible. You can't exactly do that, since the pushers are at work. Taking the food to appease the…

Haha! I am totally one of those people who wears a bikini but shouldn't. My watermelon belly sticks out with a side of cellulite and stretch marks. Not a pretty picture, but I do it because I love sun directly on my skin. I need as much Vit D as possible and that's the fastest way to get it. I don't love my body and I am…

Omg @jrae75 I feel ya!!! I have to force myself to not eat when hubby does. He is 6'2" and I'm 5'7". And his metabolism is waaaaaay faster than mine. I joke and say he eats and I gain the weight, but the reality is that I was trying to maintain the social aspect of the meal times by participating every time anyone else was…

I'm 40 and have two children under 10. My biggest challenge is working around their schedules and abilities. We live out in the boonies so gyms aren't an option. A neighboring town has a fantastic paved trail that makes a good half marathon in a round trip, but I don't get to go very often. So I have to get creative about…

You got me thinking a lot about ways to get exercise in without a gym membership. My brain likes to make up excuses as to why I can't run or lift weights or so even go for a walk. Funny thing, though, since you started this thread and got me looking for free fitness opportunities I've been finding them everywhere! My…

I dread doing the dishes and laundry. But they have to be done otherwise our quality of life suffers. Maybe not immediately, but eventually we will run out of dishes and clothes so we trudge through the chores even when we don't give a crap. Fitness and weight loss are just like household chores. It has to be done. If…

It is so much easier once the nursing calorie intake is over with. Kudos to you for the Home birth! I had my first in a hospital and my second at home. The second child was bigger, but the experience was much better. Absolutely hated the hospital experience. I didn't have the weight loss benefits from nursing that so many…

If you have Amazon Prime, they have a ton of fitness videos to work with. I never knew until tonight. Haha!

I got my exercises in and managed to stay within my calorie range for today. Whew! Sleep and repeat!

I was close to 200lbs right before I had my second child. Got onto mfp, dropped to 149, ditched counting calories and exercising all together and was in the mid 180s when I got back onto mfp almost a month ago. Working my way back down again! You are not alone.

The only time I ever loved running was when I was in shape and my body craaaaaved it! I look forward to be that way again eventually
-
I love the basics- crunches, lunges, push ups, planks, walking, and most of my "weight lifting" is moving 50lb bags to feed the cows. Pinterest is loaded with ideas! You don't need a gym membership to get in shape. You've got this!!

I absolutely love this thread!
