  • @kshama2001 my herbalist has me take vitex pretty regularly to help with the hormonal stuff. It works great! The herbal stuff works way better for me than the pharmaceuticals. But there are so many options out there, I'm lucky to have a knowledgeable herbalist close by.
  • @hobbitses333 I've been told we can get a pretty good idea of how our journey goes by looking at the ladies in our family- mom, grandmother, even aunts. My aunt had the same excessive bleeding issues that I have during Perimenopause but my mom, oddly enough, didn't. They both went through to menopause by their mid-forties…
  • I am 40 and my hormones started going crazy a little over two years ago. Which is right on track with most of the ladies in my family, so it wasn't much of a surprise after we figured out what was going on. I didn't know what perimenopaus E was until a friend of mine turned me onto Christianne Northup's books. (May have…
  • One fifty pound bag of feed a day. 😂
  • My husband rolls his eyes at my "routine" but it's working for me. 10k+ step goal every day (most of which I end up getting by jogging on a mini trampoline while watching a movie or tv show) and squats. I'll be adding push ups to the squats and bouncing in about a week and a half... I think. Id have to double check on how…

  • One thing that helps me resist temptation like that is eating a ton of veg right before they are due to show up with the pizza. When I'm stuffed- even the smell of yummy things turn me off. Good vibes to ya! Stay strong!!!!
  • 😂😂😂 Reminds me of that meme that went around a while back- a picture of a plate of ice cubes and it said "my gluten/sugar/fat/carb/calorie free meal" --- or something along those lines

  • @ceiswyn I agree. I think people freak out when they think someone else making changes means they will have to make changes as well. Their protests are about them, not you. That said- social media is a tough one for people who are used to be open. There will be naysayers everywhere but they seem to flock to Facebook... or…
  • Like everyone else said already- it's hard. I feel ya with the lack of motivation. "They" say it takes 21 days to create a habit so here's what I've been doing- I log everything I eat and drink. Not because I want to but because I know I have to. I jog on a rebounder (that slides under my bed when I'm not using it) while…
  • Started a 30day squat challenge yesterday and my inner thighs are soooooo sore. As well as my booty. And the rest of my thighs.... and the lower abdominal region was aching when I woke up. 😂😂 Good kind of ache. I like squats. As long as it's not burpees.... Burpees and I have a real hate/hate relationship. Pretty sure they…
  • @dhiammarath that was awesome. 😂😂

  • I'm not a big fan of the whole idea of a cheat day. Even though it takes a while, calories in and calories out makes the most sense to me. I don't feel deprived at all because I know that I can have that candy bar if I am willing to do the extra work to burn the massive amount of calories it has. To me, the whole "cheat…
  • I feel ya, @esocha2060. Feels like a forever battle. I think I'm doing so well and then I look in the mirror and still see the same old fat me. I'm trudging along, keeping that slooooow sloooow forward momentum with you.

  • Hahaha! Yes. Me and my potty mouth.... Say it out loud. If you say it just right, it sounds like a toothless old man cursing. 😂 I had great uncles and aunts who sounded like that. Uncle Calvin comes to mind. He always sat right in front of his six inch black and white tv screen in an insanely ratty chair, was keen on…
  • My work schedule is more flexible, but I still struggle with juggling exercise and my five year old. The ten year old is easier to work with since he can keep up if we go to the park and walk/jog the trails. The Little's pace is slower than a snail's butt. Even when he is on a bicycle. Here's what has been working for me-…

  • I love this challenge. This thread is one of those I religiously read through. I love seeing everyone's progress! You are all such an inspiration!!!!
  • Oh my goodness yes!!!! And feeling jeans slide around over your thighs when you walk instead of them clinging!!!! That's one of my favorites.
