  • I once tried to jump onto the Greek yogurt wagon, but ended up falling off. I was so frustrated that I didn't like it, that I gave up eating yogurt all together. It took awhile, but I finally learned from my naive thinking and switched back to regular yogurt. It's definitely a lot easier to eat what you like instead of…
  • I ate a lot of breath mints and tic tacs. I'd have 4 different types of mints and every single kind of tic tacs in my bag at all times. Now I can barely even look at them on the shelves at stores.
  • I do something like that where I plan my dessert for after the kids go to sleep (that way I can 1.)eat in peace and 2.) throughly enjoy it). It personally helps me because I'll see it all day, but know I'll get to eat it later.
  • You might just have to see what works for you. I ate an average of 2500 calories a day while breastfeeding (I also pumped a bit) and I lost about 2-3 pounds a month. I didn't start actively counting calories until DD started to wean around 13 months and I started to gain back a little. Even then I had to play around with…
  • Mine is also open!
  • Thanks everyone! I'll definitely ignore that voice and continue to log. At least until I feel confident/adjust to the new calorie amount (it may be awhile).
  • My diary is open! Feel free to add me :)
  • I always had jolly ranchers and mints to help with morning sickness. Taking my prenatal before bed seemed to help a little, too.
  • I swapped out brownies for black bean brownies. I was surprised how good they are, and I think they are more filling so I don't keep going back to the pan after my serving.
  • Pizza. I can't stop after one or two slices. Yum! I'm sure Nutella would be another one, but I don't trust myself to even try it. I know what'll happen.. I just know. Maybe I'll try it one day when I am in my 80s!
  • I had a grilled cheese for breakfast this morning. Usually I prefer lunch type foods in the morning like a turkey sandwich and chips or soup. My husband loves breakfast food so I usually make eggs, toast, and fruit in the mornings unless he's away for work, then I go back to happily eating my sandwiches for breakfast.
  • I've been in the same boat. I lost second babies weight pretty quick, but still had so much weight left over from my first. I've been working on it for a year now, losing 31lbs, and am finally 5 lbs from my goal. Good luck! You'll do great!
  • I walk the kids to a far away playground at least 3-4 times a week. They are usually happy knowing they'll get to play and I get a nice workout in pushing the stroller up those hills! Lol. If your kids are too little for play on playgrounds then you could omit that part, but it's nice when they get a little older.
  • I always put my kids leftovers in the fridge for later. Also, when I get stressed out and feel the urge to stress eat, I immediately take the kids outside to play or take them on a walk to a playground. We all always feel better after we get some fresh air.

  • I most certainly am hiding it! I am not depriving myself though, I'm just hiding it from the kids. They are both really small, and no, I don't deprive them sweets either, their snacks are just a little more limited. I always save extra calories for the rare moments I can eat a cookie without little hands swiping it away. I…
  • It is hard to know exactly the right number to eat a day because the amount a baby will eat can change based on growth spurts, having a cold, needing comfort, etc. I always heard you should never drop below 1800 calories a day, but I would starve (I'm also breastfeeding) at the amount. I average about 2300 while still…
  • I am 5'4" and I weighed 155 before I got pregnant and at the end of pregnancy I was up to 200. At 1 month pp I was at 165. I am now 10 months pp and I weigh 135. I contribute most of my weight loss to breast feeding and chasing after a couple of kids.
  • I started calculating my calories a little while ago to see where I stood and found out that I've been eating around 2200-2500 calories a day. I couldn't imagine only getting 1200-1300. I have a 10 month old and she still eats a lot throughout the night and I do pump some for the freezer. I've been steadily losing .5 lbs a…
  • I use a couple of workout DVDs and switch them out when I get bored. Other than that, I go for walks around the neighborhood. I am not much of a gym person and I'm restricted to only being able to work out during the kids nap time and after their bed time. Haha
