• -Have a snack and cuppa about an hour before getting to the gym - Get changed at gym, remove all makeup, tie hair up in a bun, use toilet, fill up water bottle - Get gym playlist going on mp3 player - Warm up then workout
• I drink Pepsi Max most days, and sparkling water with some no-added-sugar squash in the evenings when I don't want the caffeine.
• Having escaped from a dismal relationship last year and now being in a much more satisfying and happy relationship, I'd say this: - Talk as respected equals. Don't shout over one another in an argument and for pity's sake don't tell one another to 'hush' or 'shut up' - nothing gets the blood boiling faster. - Keep in…
• I am making an effort to cut back on added sugars because they tend to be found in my naughty snacks - biscuits and chocolate being the main two. Naturally ocurring sugars such those found in fruit (I only eat the whole fruit, I don't drink the juice), greek yoghurt etc. I still eat because they tend to also have…
• I am currently doing a 30 day challenge that cycles through regular planks, plank jacks and plank with reach but increases duration each day, but I am definitely going to start this one when I've finished my current challenge.
• I have also read a figure for how much faster a person can run with each kg lost but can't remember the number right now. Makes sense though, for a given level of strength and fitness, if you have less mass to move, you should be able to move it faster.
• I avoid anything that is too easy to overeat: biscuits, loose chocolate like m&ms, ice cream in tubs, large bags of crisps etc.
• You could try bulk cooking and then sticking some of it in the freezer. That way you don't have to eat the same thing every day, and on days where you don't feel like cooking from scratch (we all have them) you can pull something from the freezer and reheat. Also, I plan all my meals for the week before I go shopping. By…
• I have a TomTom runner. Doesn't do everything under the sun but it tracks my distance, speed, cadence etc and will connect to some HR monitors so it's good enough for my needs. Battery life is amazing and always quick to find a GPS signal.
• OP - have you always been this weight since you've been together? I ask because maybe when he says he loves you as you are it's because he did fall in love with you exactly as you are, weight and person the same. If he hasn't known you when you were at any other weight, of course he's going to love you as you are right…
• I had a Fitbit One but upgraded recently to the Fitbit Flex 2. I have the nudge notifications on to remind me to get up and move to hit my step target and I love that the Flex 2 will automatically detect various activities such as running, cycling, and swimming. I routinely use it for sleep tracking as well. However, I do…
• Although I am currently the lightest adult weight I have ever been and have worked incredibly hard to get here, I have always wanted children. As a child I always assumed I would have my own family, it was never a question of 'if' but 'when'. So no, losing weight hasn't made me want children less. If anything I am in the…
• My thighs are the last to lose weight while my belly and waist are normally the first. Which means that I spend a long time in-between jeans sizes where the waist band is baggy but they are still close fitting on the thighs. So annoying!
• I have a Fitbit One which I have clipped to my bra so it's really unobtrusive and doesn't rely on arm movement to count steps. I love it! The step counting seems to be really accurate and I have found myself making that extra effort to get the steps in to meet my targets. Once you have Fitbit friends, the challenges are…
• Hi all. I was an overweight child, then an overweight teen and then adult. My mum always told me as a child that I just had 'puppy fat' and that I would slim down as I grew. I was in adult trousers by the time I was 11 due to my size and height. At age 16 I weighed 16 st (224 lbs) and was a UK size 18. At Aged 18 I went up…
• When I started my weight loss journey last year I neglected to take some 'before' photos to allow that direct comparison. Now I am fairly happy with my general size and weight so have changed to maintenance and recomposition so I have made sure to take new 'before' photos as any further changes will be much smaller.

• Well when Amazon finally get around to sending mine to me, I will be sure to post an update
• I have a Moov Now on order  I plan to use it mainly for the running coaching as I'm looking at working up to a half-marathon this year.
• Things I'm loving: - Being my lowest adult weight. Ever. - My teeny tiny waist - The extra energy I have now - Treating my body with the due care and respect it's always deserved Things I wasn't prepared for: - Family/friends saying they want to also lose weight and then in the same breath start making excuses for why they…
• I do my big food shop on a Friday so on a Thursday night I will sit down with the recipe files and cookbooks and find something new and tasty to cook the following week and then will prepare my shopping list accordingly, along with my usual food bits (lunch fillers, cereal etc). I tend to strictly keep to what's on my…
• I have lost 3 dress sizes so anything at the bigger end has been donated to charity. Keeping them 'just in case' in my mind is me giving myself permission to get bigger again and I don't want that. So I've gotten rid of them all. I am gradually replacing the clothes that are one size bigger with clothes in my new size…
• I was thinking the exact same thing the other day when one of my colleagues called me 'tiny'. At 5'9", 78kg and a UK size 12/14 I am just outside the healthy BMI range so also have a bit to go. I think it's all very much relative: they remember me at my bigger size (90+ kg, size 16) so relative to that I am a lot smaller.…
• A lot of nutritional information is given for the cooked rice which isn't that helpful when you are trying to weigh out dry rice. Because rice swells so much 100g dry does not have the same nutritional content as 100g cooked rice. Eg. For the brand I get, about 50g uncooked weighs about 120 g cooked and is about 170…
• Although I've done two runs this week, I've not done my full gym resistance programme for nearly two weeks. My commute home is currently rammed with roadworks and the usual 1 hour journey is taking 1 hr 40 most nights by which time I've lost all mostivation to workout and can't face the though of starting to cook a meal at…
