Tomorrow I'm at a wedding so I know I can't eat what I usually have but I do try to stay within my macros for the day on days like that. I try not to have a day where I just indulge myself, even if you don't do "cheat days" that's never good for you to just have a complete blow out I don't think. It's just getting the…

Yeah like people have said it depends on goals. I tend to do my weights first before running. Pretty sure you deplete glycogen (carb fuel) whilst resistance training which usually means if you then go in to a cardio session you are using fat stores as fuel...

Yeah I tend to. Most times it's planned but even if it wasn't, I suppose a "normal" tea would usually have like meat or fish or something with it anyway. Your body finds it extremely hard to turn protein to fat, and there are some amino acids that the body cannot generate itself anyway which we have to get from food, so I…

only have shakes if you're not getting enough protein from your food. don't use as a replacement meal use in addition to a balanced meal plan :)

macros are carbs, fat, protein i.e. the 3 main macronutrients you find in food.

I used to keep mine on for bed as a kid because I thought there were snakes gonna bite my feet. I take them off now though coz I'm not scared or anything.... Big Mac or KFC? (Disclaimer, *cheat days* haha)

Haha fair enough - but it is true about spending time in the kitchen. There are so many good recipes out there that take no more than 15-20 mins. I know because I use them - for example, my lunch hour is spent travelling home from work to let the dog out, making my lunch and getting back again. I only get 20 mins at home…

I have the odd smoothie post workout if I am short on my protein intake for the day, mix it with some greek yoghurt and berries. But it's not a replacement meal it's in addition to. You must be one hell of a busy girl to not have time to eat! To be blunt, my apologies, but you need to make time. Getting fit starts in the…

My body tells me otherwise. Everyone needs to decide for themselves but personally I would never do CV exercise or train without stretching.
-
You don't need to do it for 30 minutes. If you're doing a warm up then you should stretch after the warm up. I have had shin splints in the past, because my calves were so tight, long story but point is if I didn't stretch my calves out before I did any sort of CV activity I would be in trouble. If I am playing footy, I do…

There is a point. Why do you think you see professional athletes go through vigorous warm ups and stretching routines prior to the activity? Not saying you need to do what they do as we aren't working to their capacity but the principle is the same. Working out with cold muscles is a bad idea, much more likely to pick up…

before and after is best. sometimes i finish on a light exercise with a high range of movement and do nice controlled reps to stretch out muscle

i know right, so annoying isn't it. yeah if your gym has a carpeted or wooden floor then it can be very damaging doing that, i've been at gyms where you're not allowed to do that. the one i am at now has a rubber floor so it's not too bad, but i train with a spotter 80% of the time so save my heavier weight training for…

Absolutely 100% every time I train. Stretching is so important. My warm up is usually a 5 minute run on treadmill, then full body stretching for another 6-7 minutes.

bumper plates are as they say on the tin - if you're doing compound exercises like deadlifts or presses or something like that, and you let them go, they're just gonna bounce when you drop them, so a bit more forgiving and you're less likely to damage equipment. metal weights be more prone to damage if you do that,…

Squats and lunges are your first port of call most definitely. Don't forget tone is a by product of fat loss, which can only be achieved by training and diet!

I love how people write y'all, being from UK you never hear that I just think of True Grit when I see that written haha :D

Sorry to say it but meal substitutes are no substitute for real food. Very much a fad thing - if you want to make changes to your lifestyle I would avoid these like the plague - as you said you can't stand drinking them so why do it :) You can get more goodness from eating the right stuff.
