Could be. Before I was an adult I didn't care/wasn't paying attention about my weight so there was no goal. I've done the set the goal lower before and have driven myself crazy looking at the big picture instead of the mini here-and-now goals. I am working slowly toward it just not overwhelming myself with "Xlbs to goal"…

Do activities you like and will actully do on a schedule that works for you. I personally am just focusing on the food control for the time being. I am down 20lbs and have now added walks for my lunch breaks at work, have a family walk/hike once a week and plan to start resistance training next month. If I try to…

This is the hardest for me because I have never been a healthy weight as an adult so I have nothing to guage for me. I set my goal at the top end of the next BMI catagory. When I get there I will lower it to the next. But that's just for the MFP algorithem thingy. My goal right now is just one day at a time, hopefully…

At home I weigh all that I can. Prepackaged stuff I go with their counts. If I see my weightloss has stalled for a reasonalble amount of time, that will change. I eat out a lot too, and unfortunately, you can use the count they give you for the food but that is just the average made to the specs the coproate office gives…

2 months ago I was in the hospital for depression/suicidal thoughts. There was no way I could concentrate on my physical health when I didn't care about anything. Please talk to your doctor about your depression. If the doctor is no help, you said you're in college and most have some form of conseling. Focus on your mental…

Just quit last week (taxes went up again so i just can't afford it anymore). I am vaping but only with the lowest nicotine level. My taste buds are perking back up, but fortunately (In a weight loss situation) i'm finding some food taste worse than before. My deli turkey was so salty I could not have more than 2 slices and…

I have a pair of cheapo perscription sunglasses for running. They are not pretty but atleast I can see more than colorful blobs. I found them at Zenni optical.

Where the waists sit make all the difference for me. I am a very comfortable16 in high waist but a very tight 18 in regular or hip wasit pants. A little spandex in the material helps smooth things out, although I have learned to accept my foo-pa. I do have a ton of leggings as well but I prefer jeans for most days. **FYI:…

I have a child with ASD. As much as toxins and woo-science subjects may come up on these boards it's nothing compared to most autism message boards. Somedays I'm afraid of giving myself a concusion from all the *headdesks*.

I have to keep my scale on a single tile in my bathroom. The floors in my old house are so skewed that moving the scale 1 ft to the left can result in a 6lb difference. Some times depending on how much I fidget (ie...yelling at the dogs to get out of the bathroom, or reminding the child to knock before entering) the scale…

We have a former personal trainer, currently studying to be a dietition, in my office. The transition from going from an workplace full of activity, where people take extream care of themselves, to a cubical office where 80% of us don't bother or follow broscience/fad diets was very hard for him to adjust to at first. He…

I do this when I go into a depression. Sometimes the stress is just too much and I shut down. It's easier to sleep than think. Even though I may hate the way I look/feel I am just too sad to care. It really is about being in the right headspace. If you feel she may respond well, encourage her to seek help from a mental…

It's been a month. You may not be able to see huge changes yet but check measurements for smaller ones. With my 1st 20lbs I can tighten my watch band, wear a smaller jean size and my knee high socks fall down. The loss is distributed over my entire body. Take measurments and you might "see" it better.

We have a guy at work that will eat a dozen hard boiled eggs for lunch on occasion. I sing the song everytime...until I am gagged by the gas.

I am the same way. I found seltzer was a good alternative. I would also make deals with myself: Finish my water bottle and then I could have a diet coke. It's gotten easier as I get more used to it.

I probably weigh myself too often. I just like to see the fluctuations during the day and don't worry if there is a 1-5lb difference. I only record my low weights and as long as I stay within a "range" trending downward I'm happy.

*Cups/spoons are not an acurate measument for non-liquids *No magic "diet" just CICO (wish I would have learned this 15 years ago) *Weight loss isn't linear. Don't panic with a little gain day hear and there...as longs as you are tending the correct way.

I try to bring snacks with me and always have an emergency bag of pumpkin seeds on me at all times. I am lucky to have a cube far away from the break room and "free for all" snack table in our office where cookies tend to magically appear. I also keep myself full/satisfied all day so the call of the take out menu isn't as…

I lost with WWs 8 years ago. I tried again a few months ago and started gaining on the new system without the usual 0point fruit/veggie overindulgence. The new calculations just weren't working for me. Changed to MFP and realized CICO is just a larger point system (don't know why it took me so long). I found the meetings…

I focus on calorie goals first and tweak to macros second. I preplan and log so if I see I need to up something for the day I may change a snack to even things out better. I try and focus on protien and sodium (for my HBP and I love processed foods that can kill my daily intake in 1 serving) and don't worry too much about…

I've learned there's nothing that is off limits in moderation, but for me personally I know I have to stay away or find a way to portion control certain foods. There are some things that I just have to know I can't trust myself around because just having 1 taste can open the floodgates for me. There was a great chocolate…

A little weight loss goes a long way all over your body too. With the almost 20lbs I've lost I've had to tighten my watch and can fit my BP cuff correctly around my upper arm...combined with the areas in which I lost as well.

I have a kid on the spectrum so we have a "food schedule" that we follow or else chaos ensues so we eat out 3+ time more a week (Taco Tuesdays, Wendy's Wednesdays, Panera Fridays). He'll very rarely eat a home cooked meal and with our schedule of doctors and groups I barely cook at home anyway. I've learned the better…

I take a (doctor recommened) suppliment. No shot needed and it has brought up my levels in my blood tests.
