Confession...when I know I've over eaten, I'll log the food item into the app as a lower calorie content than it actually is. I was running 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym before doing an hours toning exercises and I found myself coming home hungrier than when I did 2 miles walking as a warm up. I agree, I think it is due to lower body fat levels. I am 5'4 and weighed 8 stone 7 when I began dieting, and I dropped down to 8 stone 5 but my hunger went through the roof.
