Best way to start calories is to eat low but make sure you are full, big mistake people make is losing weight through an unhealthy diet. Your diet needs to be at a stable amount so when u lose your weight you can stick with it

What I would do is get rid of them as they are a part of you that doesn't matter anymore, go out and get yourself something new that you could fit it at your goal weight and keep working till it fits

I'm just starting my weight loss journey now and have tried to read up on as much information as possible. 1300 sounds like a really low amount of calories for starting though, i'd say you should probably set a higher goal and lower it as you progress.
