Calories out is your TDEE or total daily energy expenditure. That is the calories your body requires to maintain all your important life functions (you burn calories even while you sleep) plus the activity you do each day. There are ways to calculate this but I would recommend you hop over to the "get started" threads on…

You just had a baby 2 months ago. I know we all see celebrities having babies and are back to their pre-baby bodies in two weeks but that's not the reality for most. Make sure to take time to let your body recover from all it has gone through the last year.....you were after all, growing a human. Don't stress right now…

This is me too! Down 31lbs in 3 1/2 months. Loving it!!

Then how did you become overweight in the first place?

Wow! This is a scary and very sad post! Please seek some help before you do irreparable damage to yourself.

If you wear it on your dominant hand/wrist, make sure you change the setting for that....it's probably why you are getting the "extra" steps.

I think the statement itself is probably true. I think the fact that it was Kate Moss, the poster child for "heroin-chic", that said it is what made it controversial......

I would say cereal too. I usually don't meet my iron micro most days but the other night I had a bowl of frosted mini wheats....holy cow, I was shocked when I saw my iron that night. Off the chart!

Triple agreement! I'm aiming for 100lbs too. Down 28 since end of May. Great advice in this thread so far. For me, it's been amazing to see the difference in how I'm feeling! Plus I can't believe I'm saying this but I've become addicted to walking (exercise).......huge change from an admitted junk food, couch potato…

Actually it's not really. Case in point....I used to routinely go to one of my favorite local places for a chopped salad. It came with some really yummy house dressing and a lemon poppy seed muffin. Sounds pretty healthy, huh? Well, when I stated counting calories, here's what I found: the salad is 400 calories, one…

Be careful to read all the labels on low fat items.....many times the "flavor" is replaced with lots of sugars.

At McDonald's: For breakfast, I get their egg white delights. I dont like eggs so I get it without but the on this sandwich, they use egg whites not the other rubbery things. Other foods, their southwest salad is really decent. The amount of lettuce you get is not much but the ones I've gotten haven't been wilted. Plus…

I'm a big night time grazer. It's always been my down "me" time and I enjoyed snacking while relaxing. Big issue for me so what I do now to curtail the issue is eat my dinner, let it digest/settle for a little time then I head out for my evening walk. When I get back, I use my extra calories from the day for a small treat…

Not sure what math is being used in this post but 6 months is 26 weeks. 26x2 is 52. So no, it's not over 2lbs a week. It would be tough but probably doable. Shoot for it and you will probably get pretty close to it. If not, you'll still be much closer to your goal than when you started.

I love this!!! Going to print it where I can see it often.....

It's the FitBit app that is not syncing properly. It finally did some but it's not recognizing my active minutes for the day.....But MFP is recognizing my steps.

I'm having the same issue today. They did go "public" today so maybe they are having some computer glitches.
